Decoy: 2019 CF Pro vs 2020 CF Comp

Damn, what is your sag? I am 160lbs with gear and running a 400lb spring and measured 31% sag. Drops are kinda harsh on my bike. I thought it was because of the extra weight of the bike but could it be i’m on the wrong spring weight?? Edit: i saw in a separate post you are at 30% sag. I...

Decoy: 2019 CF Pro vs 2020 CF Comp

It’s a Mucky Nutz mudguard, Short How are you getting along with the progressive rear spring? What spring rate is it and what is your weight?

Decoy: 2019 CF Pro vs 2020 CF Comp

Its a Mucky Nutz mudguard, short I have a 180mm Smashpot on my Acoustic bike as well. I decided to just go with air on the ebike for times when i lend my bike out to friends. The coil rear is easy to change but the smashpot is more of a hassle... Hey do you find the progressive spring useful...

Decoy: 2019 CF Pro vs 2020 CF Comp

Fox’s decision to run Fox 34 internals on a 36 Chassis is a mistake IMO. The bike and rider overall weight difference between ebike and enduro bike is only 20lbs. If you are an average 170lb guy, its like running a Fox 36 on an Enduro bike as a 190lb guy. I havent ridden the latest 34 so I...

Decoy: 2019 CF Pro vs 2020 CF Comp

Get a 180mm air shaft for the Lyrik. I tried 170mm and it made little difference. 180mm you can actually feel. The BB is still low at 340-342mm despite the taller 180mm fork (in the low position). You also should upgrade your damper to the Charger 2.1 RC2 and get SKF seals to convert your...

YT DECOY - The loam wolf shredder winner

I bought a Nukeproof 31.8mm Carbon bar on sale at CRC for about $64 that has a 12mm rise. They have 12mm and 25mm options as well. I really like the lower bars over the stock 30 or 35mm riser bars especially when upforking the bike to 180mm like I have.

YT DECOY - The loam wolf shredder winner

Regardless of travel, the Decoy has a 64.5deg HT vs 66 on the Levo and a reduced offset fork so the trail figures on the Decoy translates to stability on steep gnarly stuff. 150mm of travel on a Fox 34 on my buddy's Levo vs 170mm on a Lyrik or Fox 36 is very noticeable if you ride gnarly stuff...

YT DECOY - The loam wolf shredder winner

I don’t understand how they didn't really like the 2019 but totally loved the 2020 Bike. The shock is unchanged and the fork was only 10mm difference. Does the 10mm more travel on the fork make that much of a difference? I read somewhere the 2019 Fox 160mm Emtb fork used Fox 34 internals but...

Swapping brakes from SRAM to shimano which post mount?

Try running one side resin one side metallic pads. You get the power of metallic pads but also less noise. It’s a hack many racers use.

YT Decoy looping the shimano steps logo (Wont start)

Had this problem after washing the bike. I took out the battery and blew dry the battery terminal sections and let it sit with the battery out overnight and the next day it worked. Been careful with washing it ever since and the problem hasnt come back (3months so far)

    210mm Dropper post

Oneupcomponents 210mm Dropper installed. I am 5’-8” with longish arms and legs. I think my inseam is around 31.5”. Size Large Decoy I’ve got 155mm cranks installed at the moment and It fits with about 10mm to spare. If i go back to 165mm cranks, it would be shoved all the way in. Bike...

    Water bottle Underneath the downtube

Haha, i’m running two Vittoria Airliners. It’s an awesome runflat solution so no pumps or tubes needed

    Water bottle Underneath the downtube

Hmm, I didn’t realize how bad it could be. If thats the case I should look into a good waist strap

    Water bottle Underneath the downtube

Has anyone done this? Its winter right now and the current water bottle is fine but when the temps rise, I wonder if you can mount a fidlock or something on the downtube. Anyone have any luck? No backpack or waist pack suggestions please. This is for normal 1-2hr Local rides, not Epic 4-6hr...

In Frame Bike bag (like IBIS)

Does anyone know of an in frame small bike bag that will go in the top section of the triangle. I know the On switch is right there but it’s pretty easy to still get your finger underneath to turn it on as long as the strap isn’t blocking it. I was looking at the zipp 2.0 in the link below...

Sizing question - before I pull the trigger

5' 7.5" without shoes but with longish arms and legs and went with a large. Run a 170 dropper but may upgrade to a oneup 210mm dropper. My other bike is an S3 Specialized Enduro which is even bigger/longer than a Large Decoy and fits great on me.

    YT Decoy 700WH battery

Right now the bottom of the battery where the DECOY logo is is completely flat. If they make this section rounded it will look just fine. If they keep it flat and just extend the depth out by say an inch it will look odd. I’m pretty sure they will make it rounded and it will blend in nicely...

    New YT Decoy Questions

I would get a tire insert for the rear tire like a Cushcore or Vittoria Airliner. It protects the rear wheel from dings but also reduces the air volume a bit so the bike won’t bounce around too much on the rowdy stuff. It makes my 2.8” tire feel more like a 2.5” tire but you retain all the...
