Water bottle Underneath the downtube

Has anyone done this? Its winter right now and the current water bottle is fine but when the temps rise, I wonder if you can mount a fidlock or something on the downtube. Anyone have any luck? No backpack or waist pack suggestions please. This is for normal 1-2hr Local rides, not Epic 4-6hr rides. For these types of rides I ride with NOTHING on me except a phone and car keys.

Yup. My non-EMTB came with that set up. Great for collecting dog shit on the bottle. Even though I had one of those bottles with a lid, I still didn't fancy drinking from it...

Hmm, I didn’t realize how bad it could be. If thats the case I should look into a good waist strap

I fitted a dual water bottle holder to my normal holder on my levo, could enable you to carry two normal size bottles as the bottles might sit either side of the shock? Wolf Tooth B-RAD Double Barrel Bottle Cage Adaptor

Just a thought but if you do mount a bottle cage under the frame you might be able to also attach a couple of those lightweight Tubolito inner tubes as spares from it too...

Haha, i’m running two Vittoria Airliners. It’s an awesome runflat solution so no pumps or tubes needed
