Thanks for reporting back Matt. I think quite a few people found Eurobike disappointing too. Perhaps a trend away from these type of events from the manufacturers?
As a fan of big ugly welds it’s good to see Orange out in force. :)
The Whyte Hoxton looks like a nice commuter bike option, along...
That Kinesis does look interesting. I’d like to see shorter stays on it but it’s nice to see that approach to a hardtail. It’s 18.5kg too. Will be interesting to see what you think. I think Orange have a hardtail ebike on the way too (like a p7/clockwork).
It’s interesting to see a purist attitude to Carbon-free bikes developing. See the release today of the limited edition YT Capra that’s all alu, Carbon free.
It was a small factor in buying my bike too.
I love my E8000. The longevity worries me so it might be nice for them to make the 9000 higher quality and a touch less weight by using magnesium, composites etc
Flimsy evidence if you ask me. I was expecting another 6 months before we’d see evidence.
Shimano E9000 Steps confirmed in Lezyne light specs Ride eMTB
Agreed. As a bike company you’d be mad not to do that.
A fair proportion of the enthusiast MTB market are keen to understand more detail. If you’re a suspension provider it would be a great marketing/community building tool if the company releases the software and collected results...
Yawn. This thread isn’t about the Rotwild or your opinion of it or other alternatives. Perhaps start a new thread, it looks like a nice enough option but there’s lots of competition.
I think this could help people understand the characteristics of their bike, hence the database of known designs feature. This is already available to some extent if you search. However the value to the shock manufacturers is it would drive folks to a well informed purchase of their higher cost...
I’d love to see an automated community code for analysing these things. Ie. Analyse a side on photo of a bike. Identify pivots, ask the user if they are correct and produce a curve. I’d also like to see every curve produced published to a repository so we can all compare bikes.
I can’t find the...
Completely agree. It speaks volumes they’ve used Mahle for the Creo (and not shouted about who supplies the motor). I can see them differentiating the Turbo brand more using software, leaving them free to choose the underlying power unit.
There’s still many ways for this market to develop. It’s...
Oh, absolutely not. The market is moving from the early adopters to early majority so this explosion is to be expected. The question is: how much of it is ‘me too’ and how much real innovation (eg. Kervelo etc)
There’s more potential for a big manufacturer to do what Specialized did with Brose...
They’re doing a remarkable job of reducing leaks of details if you ask me. Like those that hang on every Apple iPhone event I guarantee a many folks will be disappointed (spec, design, price, availability etc).
Doesn’t seem to be. I guess still a prototype. Given it seems to be based on the Clockwork then they’ll need to wait for the frame from overseas as their hard tails aren’t made in UK.
