Not even a question......tubeless is the way to go!
However, there is no perfect system. On a recent ride, I did manage to put a 2-inch slice in the rear sidewall and had to walk out even though I was carrying a tube as a backup.
My acoustic mtb is a Carbon Stumper Jumper with 29 x 2.3 wheel set, great bike but I really prefer how the 27.5 X 2.8 wheel package on my Kenevo feels so stable and planted. Looking forward to riding a 2019 Levo with the 29 x 2.6 wheel set to experiemce the difference.
The new LEVO is great, 700 Wh battery, sturdier frame, and lighter weight are all good improvements. However, consider if the LEVO were to have an IGH and belt drive, less maintenance and no derailer to damage out on the trail.
Been riding mtn bikes since they first appeared in the 1980s, rode various hardtail mtn bikes in the past and bought my first full suspension 2 years ago and wonder why I waited for so long. When it comes to e-mtbs, would not even consider a hardtail. Best advise is to get the best bike you can...
Using the Park Chain Tool to monitor my chain, renewed my chain at 600 miles (965 km) when the shifting started being less than optimal and the limit was exceeded. Noticed that the chain was at the limit at 400 miles and stayed there for the next 200 miles until it exceeded the limit. Definitely...
Totally agree that fitness is a HUGE contribution to range extension. The beauty of the emtb is you can train and improve your fitness without killing yourself on the uphills like on a regular mtn bike. Finding that the more I ride the fitter I become and the bigger the range is because of using...
Sounds like a great ride!
Climbing in Turbo really uses a lot of battery, very similar to what I have discovered. Climbing and rider weight are the two biggest factors in determining range.
Glad I have never opened mine up, but the picture confirms what I have suspected is happening. Thinking I will just leave it alone until an actual need arises.
Donnie797 is mostly correct......however if the preload on the spring shortens the spring too much it will fully compress under load and a fully compressed spring will limit the shock travel. This is why I uprated the spring on my Kenevo XL from a 504 lb spring to a 571 lb spring, no more...
Have suspected that the Mission Control App was not registering the mileage accurately and today I verified that the app is not recording the miles actually ridden on a ride.
Using a Garmin Rhino handheld GPS I tracked my ride this morning and confirmed my suspicion of the Mission Control App...
