I remember how much i loved to throw around my stumpjumper. But that was a light bike. The levo is more tanklike. I can understand how some of the down-hill bombers here are fitting big travel coils to make a 'ke-levo'. The mass of the bike favors the gravity descent. But I am in the northeast...
I’m switching out my front fork- the chunk here in the northeast ( rocks and ruts) bottoms out the revelation too fast. I’m tending towards a mazzer but I’ll have to drop its travel to 160. I’m on the fence about it or a non ebike Fox 36. I am 210 lbs fully geared plus 48 for the bike is...
I guess none of these devices will pair w the mission control app. It seems the extra ant+ channel is for allowing a watch to have some of the app’s functionality
So the x2 only is avail in 210x50 or 55. I am think of going w the 55 . Does anyone actually use this one?
Has anyone tried the manitou products-either the Mara rear shock or the messer pro fork?
I never rode a coil shock but am seeing it more and more. Can anyone describe how it’s different feeling? I can imagine that an air shock could heat up and as a result become firmer- but I have never noticed that.
Do you think all those different sources made up the same words coincidentally? Or is it all fake news? Or would you discount shimano’s own words as marketing clickbait?

Has anyone used this drivetrain? Is the ‘better shifting under power’ real or bs? I would think the much higher chain tension on an ebike would just accelerate wear if you shift under power
Thank you rob.
I dont see how adding a bunch of extra levers will change the physics of de-acceleration. When your body moves forward, the amount of the vertical down component is determined only by the angle the fork makes with the horizontal. Consider if the fork were totally vertical-...
Rob, you mentioned a while back that you switched to a fox from a dtswiss . Did you ever write up the comparison? I’m still on the stock fork and would appreciate some nice descriptions of how the differences feel.
Also a lot of people talk about switching to the dpx2 or the coil- again, could...
I am in the same boat Trout74. Mountain biking before it was even a thing. Taking my Raleigh gran prix over dirt trails etc. Stump jumper in 2006. Niner in 2011. I bought a Levo after trying an intense tazer. Both are awesome bikes-the intense had a super smooth ride, great control but more $$...
