I agree with that. If you break a chain on a ride it may not be repairable and it is so much easier to just replace it with a chain already cut to size. I carry the chain that I previously replaced but for an epic it may be better to carry a brand new one cut to size.
Up until yesterday I had never gone below 40% battery. For yesterday's ride I decided to start getting the battery to lower discharge levels so only charged it to 75%. When I got towards the end of the ride with 2 bars showing on the LED Remote Kiox flashed up with a "30% remaining" notification...
The OP detailed the damage on his bike together with his suspicion that the chainstay design was faulty. If that was the case you would expect several other reports of such failure given the volume of sales. Others have pointed out that the damage could have been caused by an impact. It is an...
............Alternatively, your bike is a better design than more recent bikes you have tried, and I dont think 27.5 v 29 er would make much difference to that. I might have agreed with your analysis above completely after owning a my19 Levo Comp and Whyte E 180RS, but I recently bought the...
Losing rider weight is the best bang for buck! Additonal gross weight (bike plus rider) results in 2 main issues. First is its ability to overcome inertia obviously most noticeable in terms of acceleration from a standstill or very low speed.....but of course there is a motor to help nullify...
The biggest change will be what you ride rather than how. Its difficult to pass any challenging looking climb without giving it a try.....and then you get to ride back down it!
No comment about specific bikes but general advise from me. Probably foremost is to buy from a local bike shop if it is your first emtb and you are not much of a bike mechanic. Second would be to buy a bike that fits you well and feels comfortable to ride. Third, the most capable all round bike...
I dont think it is released yet. Bike24 have it listed but not currently available. Bikester have no listing for it. you are more likely to get one when it is released from one those 2 ( I prefer Bikester who advertise in sterling inc of VAT so just add postage). The only UK site I previously...
The correct torque is determined by the material/OD and thread pitch of the bolt. Given this is 6mm allen, 12mm OD ally bolt it is virtualy the same as the rear wheel thru axle which on most bikes is torqued to 15nm. This bolt is probably subject to more lateral stress than the thru bolt though...
The Levo Tech and Service photo first in your post shows a carbon frame. Not sure where you are reading the second section from but that is probably the torque for an ally frame.
it appears there is a specific Bike Trax model for the Bosch Smart System so if you have that, fitting it should not be too hard. I wonder why however you do not wait a few weeks for Bosch Connect Module to be available since that is of course specific to the Bosch Smart System and fully...
its primary use is on valves and o rings in thing like toilet cisterns ( faucets) given it is a silicone oil based compound and very water proof. You can certainly use it on things like the sealing rings on the electrical plugs on a bike..........not on the contacts however!!
If you are not concerned a bout race regs then chin mounts are the cheapest and porbably the best POV on a full face helmet because they combine the benefits of being "head mounted", given your head is kept much more stable than your body on rough terrain, and the gopro follows your head...
Its a Bosch component so available from any Bosch Ebike parts stockist. Note it also requires 2 off CR2016 button cell batteries. The Purion is the Controller on the system. It is battery operated and those batteries are not charged by the system so need changing after a couple of year. Its...
The most vulnerable component is the Purion especially after a couple of years, because it is completely exposed and is subject to constant use on every ride. I would just replace it and see if that resolves the issue. Any water ingress or even accumulation of the effects of humidity will...
changing chainwheel will make no difference to back pedaling................nor am I sure why yu think you need to back pedal to do maintenance. I am aware a chain bath usually fixes to the lower jockey wheel if indeed that is the way you clean your chain but there are many other ways to use...
