agreed...2 shops near to me sell Whyte.........one is an independent and the other part of a small chain of 4 shops ......so whilst Whyte may have withdrawn from the OPs local shop I see no evidence of Whyte only supplying major chains. It seems more likely there was some problem with the...
.........Im 🫖 total!.................but at my age I prefer not to know what my heart is doing as long as it keeps going😄
My understanding is that a watch that uses the standardised blutooth protocol should work. I think the more common models like the Apple watch use a combination of wifi...
I did 1000 trouble free miles on my MY19 Comp beofre it was stolen ( Im hoping it blew up at 1001!). My mate has covered 2000 trouble free miles on his MY 19 base model and its still as quiet as it was new. Certainly with the earlier motors you could go almost anywhere just in TRAIL, and at a...
I dont think reviews get any better!
I note the reviewer used the shape it link in the low position and ( in my opinion) used some fairly unusual suspension settings. I have kept my bike in the high position and found no need for the type of trails I ride to experiment with the low position...
............one tuning aspect I forgot to include a bove ( but was suggested by a couple of folk earlier in the thread) is saddle position. I was amazed how much difference both saddle position on its rails and saddle angle can make. It is probably also influenced by the shape of the saddle and...
interesting observation! I guess the hill start function must know that the bike is on an incline so yes looks like there is another sensor at play.
ps pushing the bike up on the back wheel is easiest when the back wheel is well forward of the bars............sadly my winter mudhugger prevents...
Getting a good cockpit fit is in my view very important in order to avoid discomfort but also enable better control of the bike. I know reach is often quoted but is not a very useful measurement in isolation. The distance between the top of the seat post and the centre of the stem is more...
no one is going to apply that much "grease" to the piston so looks like it has gathered all of that "grease from the leg.........in fact is it actually grease or congealed oil?
The knock block in the headset is not centred. The forks should not touch the frame in either direction and the amount of steer left and right should be the same.
as @Nick314 above said most crank pullers give you option of using two end pieces of different diameter, usually fitted on either end of the puller. On an ISIS crank (Bosch Gen4 motor rankshaft spindle) you need the larger of the two end pieces. Not sure what you mean by a plastic cover on the...
I have started cleaning and lubing my chain differently. Chain baths just rotate brushes through a bath of degreaser that is filthy after one revolution! Lubing the chain in the normal way deposits wet lube on the jockey wheels, chainwheel and whatever gear it is in.
I put it in a the highest...
I have always used a mudhugger FRX on the back (as per the post a bove) all year round, then in the winter fit a mudhugger rear over the top of them using re-useable zip ties. That way I can have the rear mudhugger on when it is needed or off when it is not, whilst the FRX continues to protect...
It sounds like the battery protected itself due to a short circuit elsewhere on the network. Well done on finding the reset switch but do not ignore what probably caused it to go into defence mode in the first place. There is probably either a charging port or on/off switch....or maybe terminal...
@Mteam has it right assuming you have that option. If not there are a couple of things you can try. The first is to get on both cranks (level cranks), leant forward over the bars in a low gear and turbo mode.................whilst holding both brakes on and then releasing the rear brake and...
Well I used a good quality insulating tape and I warmed it first to activate the glue. You may at some stage need access to the USB port and insulating tape is easy to remove. I never had any electrical problems.
Is the difference whether or not the hill start function is implemented? For those not familiar the hill start function is the one that locks the back wheel to prevent the bike rolling backwards.
I tried doing that but without moving the bike and nothing came up on the Kiox.....do you need to start riding the route for it to appear? If so I will try that tomorrow........knackered now after todays muddy and windy 17 mile ride!!
Interesting observation for you not related to...
correct......I did not put a destination in the map, I selected a Komoot planned route and pressed Go. Is that the wrong way to do it? I thought the whole idea was to plan a route in Komoot.....or select one that is already there in the "Planned" section of Komoot, so have I missed a step...
