Love mine almost as is. Fantastic bike. Just will change to a shorter crank and E7000 controller switches when they become available so the seat dropper control can be better located.

The new E7000 controllers looks the go when they are available. Also Di2. Will allow better placement for seat dropper. Looks a bit fragile so may require a bit of care when flipping the bike over for maintenance. Has anybody tried the shorter Miranda Delta SH cranks?

Very nice bike. Tauranga is a nice part of the world. I’m in Motueka. Our speed limit in NZ is set at 32k’s for Shimano motors, I think the other brands haven’t caught up yet. It’s a sensible limit on the flat, 25 is just a bit slow. (Old fart on a Merida E160).

I have an 900e, my wife has an eone twenty 800. I hope your bike turns up soon, it is worth the wait. Our local bike shop in Nelson has one large and apparently getting two mediums next week but I think they are both pre sold. How did you hook up the light?

Sorry, I’m not much help re Di2 install. My bike came with it installed. I had it fitted to my wife’s bike ( Merida E120 800) by the suppliers mechanic. It was his first Di2 install and he said he had a hell of a job so good luck.

Yes, I have a Merida E160 900. Great bike with great specs for a good price. Just been doing some research on prices in various country’s. Sure does depend on the country you’re in. I’m in New Zealand, my Merida was £4350. But other brands are more expensive, quite a few we will never see here.

I would probably ride about 50% Eco, 40% Trail, 5% Boost and 5% Off on my Merida. I also have Di2 which may help with smoother changes. Would be interested to hear more about Shimano and SRAM Ebike specific chains.

Fitted new KMC x11e, same as chain supplied on new bike. Cassette is still in good nick. I’m not a super aggressive rider which also helps. Tend to ease up a little when shifting cogs. Being a little fella certainly seems to help a bit with ware and tear.

I use DMR Vaults also, but I’ll invest in some shorter cranks. A few too many pedal strikes.

I managed to get 2000k’s out of my original KMC x11e chain. Mostly firebreak type riding but at least 500k on single track. I make sure I clean and lube after every ride, probably helps I’m only 74kg. Just fitted a new chain so will see how long it lasts. Parts are very expensive here in NZ...
