Should work and it is working. I changed a while ago my cassette and did a mistake, which leads to a blocked freehub. I didn't even realize it till I came back and turned the wheel by hand.

For mud you need the Mota

I'm riding Vitoria. Now in Winter the Mota and in Sommer rear Martello Front Mazza, but the normal one. I see no reason for eBike tyres (only more money for the vendor). Why should everything eBike ready? It is more or less a normal bike.

It is not about RIDING the bike to charge it, it is just needed to turn it on.

Magnet is on the disc. You can buy disc with magnet e.g. Magura or an external magnet for Bosch.

As said, you need to push the button on the battery while battery is inside the bike. System will start and charge the power button. Alternative is the USB Interface PCE02

The battery inside power switch is down. You need to be creative and push the button on the battery inside the bike. I know from people, they wrapped a zip tie around to do so.

It is discussed many time here and in other forums. The new switches, buttons, etc. are not wokring with the "old" EP8 Motor system due to the new CAN bus. I would love, if it would work, I want the new display and power button.

sure, he can change the complete headset (nothing Trek special), but I would change the Zeb to a 1.5"

It is not about the cable, the switch is only for the new EP6. If cable, the switch has the small SD-300 cable, the box the SD-50.
