Like said, the last I heard is that there will be an official launch at the end of this month.
*My* delivery is in the spring of 2022, but that probably depends on the market and the importer.
I’m pretty sure it will be locked down according to EU rules in Europe. But how “hackable” that will...
Everything on track for a big launch at the end of the month. Lots of material and videos getting polished (and eMTBs no doubt!).
I’m set to play bingo with the 15 items in the first post (or rather 8 items in “wishlist”) [emoji1786] ...
I dont know whether it’s a (small distant market) Norway issue, and whether it’s the same all over Europe, but it’s preorder time every summer for delivery after the winter the coming year here. That often makes it before the official launch of next year’s models for RM, but the dealers can...
Heard chatter about imminent web launch of the new 2022 Powerplays this week but it is eerily quiet. It has already been delayed before this week so who knows, but maybe they’re able to do more out of it now that corona restrictions have been lifted many places.
I thought the standard wall charger for my 48V system emtb was fast by charging 80% (of 672Wh) in just 2 hours. That’s about the same giving 269Wh in 60 mins.
I don’t care about “KOMs”, but it looks easy enough to annoy the least amount of people yet getting to fully log own rides. I am looking forward to the day when SL style emtb riders start complaining about the full power emtbs stealing all KOMs. Or the latter complaining about powerful classless...
Well, related, electricity is just in the news here because it has tripled in price…. I started turning off lights in unhabited rooms for the first time.
Point is, government policy and infrastructure has to match, and one must realise the “green shift” will not shift in isolation and have a...
EDIT: Missed aarfeldt ’s reply above where he already touched upon this. Also, I realize it’s kinda off-topic.
_______
If the car doing the transporting is as far forward as the tech of the emtb itself (ideally a Cybertruck… but say a Skoda Enyaq) and already brings a monumental battery anyway...
Exactly because it is “obvious” Strava will usually ask you whether you want to change sport when importing an emtb ride as a normal bike ride. Unless you’re really lazy on the emtb I guess.
Wasn’t it the 2.1 motors that got infamous for breaking down though? That said, Specialized admitted their own custom firmware until the summer of 2020, making the motor give microsecond spikes of insane power much of the time, contributed to it. And my LBS could get a new motor from local stock...
Good point, I was thinking of full power eMTBs. «Light power» eMTBs is actually another thing I did not consider interesting at all but have become more positive about since riding eMTBs for a while.
Without any especially nagging quibbles with it I would also just wait until it is actually shown and reviewed. But then availability may get worse (if it’s that good). The whole preorder process with all the secrecy pre-launch is a bit strange and you don’t actually know what you’ve signed on...
You dont prefer one to the other? I had a 2020 Levo Comp with a motor that got replaced, but Specialized were great and the Brose 2.1 motor Power and belt driven feeling too.
I had tested most mainstream motors by then, and couldn’t forget how different Rocky’s Dyname 3.0 acted and felt. After...
Happy to help though! Don’t want to come off as grumpy. I’m pretty sure they can provide something that will fit the frame, it’s just odd they havent added that to the order form as 2021 C90 BC Large for their own sake.
Happy with yours?
You havent said anything about size until now. I just provided the alternative, but none of them cover all models in the world. Then you said Ridewrap didn’t provide for 2021 C90 BC Edition, which I said they did in my case. When you provide your size Large I see they don’t have the “tailored”...
There’s some on already… didn’t add any though. I’m thinking it must be a fluke dodgy mount or I’m pedalling strange. And that’s the primary source of creaking for me. Creak from stem and motor covers etc can happen at a time but is normal and easily fixed.
I have a high-end emtb in shipshape so I’m fine, but I preordered the 2022 version in July for delivery mid-spring 2022. This gives me a discount and is common where I live because of ski season in between. This time I however got a notice saying there were severe logistical challenges and there...
That’s a good idea! I mindlessly take the covers off and start checking torques and didn’t think it could actually be them too.
I do actually have a secondary smaller creak not going away from last time.
