Good to know, thanks for clearing that up. I'll be watching your channel to see if you can show the difference. As type "A" as I am about my EMTB, I know its gonna bug me but hopefully not. Again, thats Rob!
If thats not the fork that comes on the Trek 9.9, that looks fine. Thanks for going the extra and taking the pics. It looks like it flows pretty good into the frame. thought I had heard others say the frame seemed to overhang the fork crown
Do you have a rail? If ya do, you will see that what Trek is calling an Ebike optimized fork or something like that means that the frame is much wider and they put a fork on it with a really fat crown. its not a standard crown.
but the problem is with the way it looks. I dont need that model, just need that top crown. If ya have a rail, you know what I mean. The bottom of the steer tube is much wider than any other bike I've seen. Know what I mean?
that is interesting to me if I cant get the ZEBs for sure. I am going to work a bit more with these forks, but I know I will want something more. I just dont think I will like the look of it if I get a fork with a regular crown. I see some have done it as they do fit, but the frame is wider so...
I bought the bike with the SPEC I could update from. Since I knew there was a ZEB available, I did not feel too worried about getting the better fork. I had no intentions on keeping the suspension that the 9.7 comes with. Everyone buys at a certain level as that is what works best with either...
So if I want to upgrade my fork on my 9.7 you dont think there is an option for that? If that is the case and that is the way it will be I just bought my first and last Trek two days ago. That is not a good business plan
I am looking for the ZEB fork that comes on the 9.8 rail.
Anyone know where I can buy one? These are special as they have an different crown which is much wider than normal. Any help would be appreciated
RockShox ZEB Ultimate, DebonAir spring, Charger 2.1 RC2 damper, e-MTB optimzed crown...
Magicshine 6500 on the bars and a Seca Pro Race 2500 on the helmet.
Magicshine seems to way over estimate their lumens as the 2500 Seca was as, if not brighter than the 6500 Magicshine.
Wish I had bought two Pro Race or maybe a high power Lezyne.
we have awesome trails all around town, many with some great jumps and drops. Besides that we are within about 45 minutes of a place called hill country. Not mountains, but great climbing and downhill. (look up Flat Rock Ranch). We also have Spider mountain which is not far from San Antonio and...
I'm in Texas so only dust on the tires mostly and I try and microfiber them after every ride for the side walls. The rest is just clean I guess cuz no mud. When there is mud in the areas I ride, it is a no no to ride the trails at all.
I have 3 Bikes currently. Downhill is my 2019 Kenevo, my all around bikes are a 2020 Norco VLT Sight, and a 2019 S-Works Levo. When I am not in the dirt, I have a 2012 Orbea for the road and also a 2019 S-Works Stumpjumper. I love all my bikes and trade off and on for different reasons. No...
Let me start by saying that I don't post very often, but when I get something that really works, I just want to spread the word. Got my Planet3 from https://planet3.bike yesterday and installed today. I will try and be brief but my excitement may make me drone on. First, it came quickly to the...
hit up Alex @ PLANET3.bike to see if he has one for your bike. I got one for my 2019 Kenevo Expert and I love it. No wires. No messing with downloads that sometimes don't work and no warranty issues. It is a great device and I feel like I am on a different bike. Check it out at least. I looked...
My son and I both have 2019 Kenevos. Absolutely love them. I know I should not complain that they go 20MPH without cutting out, but I needed a couple more just to bridge some of the bigger gaps. Bought one of these and it is perfect. Not that I need to go 30MPH, but just that it doesn't hit that...
