• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

Let me start by saying that I don't post very often, but when I get something that really works, I just want to spread the word. Got my Planet3 from https://planet3.bike yesterday and installed today. I will try and be brief but my excitement may make me drone on. First, it came quickly to the US, 9 days! Second, its mechanical so no wiring, no taking anything to do with the motor apart. If you can change a flat, I guarantee you can install this quicker. It may have taken me 15 minutes to install this on my 2019 Kenevo Expert because I was trying to be careful and watching the very detailed youtube video on putting it on. Got it on, poof, like magic I can now do what I need to in order to do just a little bit longer gap jump. No plans to be unsafe with it on the trails. I am pretty much a 12 to 15 MPH on the trails where you can get into a head on. I wanted that extra 3 MPH so I can just boost a bit more where I need it. The support was awesome and I feel like I have made a new friend in Alex as he has been so responsive to all my questions. Anyway to put it quickly, great product, great value, great service and now worries that my APP won't work. Almost forgot, Look a the pic and see how stealth this bad boy is. I had to point it out to my E Buddies!

I purchased a Planet3 when I was looking to purchase a new Turbo Levo but apparently those are not available so I picked up a Vado 4.0. I am looking to sell my Planet3 if anyone is interested. I paid $110 to get it shipped to the States and I am on the West Coast. Please let me know if anyone is interested in a little bit of a deal Listed below are the compatible models.

  • 2019-2021 Specialized Turbo Levo (Gen2) - 100 EUR (except 2021 Levo Comp which is (due to Shimano CenterLock hub)
  • 2020- Specialized Turbo Levo SL - 100 EUR
  • 2020- Specialized Turbo Kenevo (Gen2) - 100 EUR

How are you finding it so far?
All good, no probs. I forget it’s even there tbh, guess I’ve got used to not feeling the restriction kicking in at 15mph. I’ve taken it off once to give it a clean and it looked good, no signs of wear. Like I said, it’s expensive for what it is but has done the job so far perfectly.
