Dalby is pretty miserable unless you are on an ebike. Hamsterley is much more fun and would be quicker for you to drive to I would have thought. Grenoside and Wharncliff at Sheffield are really good too and even closer.

How long are you planning on being out for? I’m supposed to be working until lunch. May be able to sneak off a little early but will not make 10am perhaps I can catch up with you when I get over?

    EMTBs with mixed size wheels

The plus tyres are prone to squirming & deforming on the front if you are pushing hard, particularly when going downhill when more weight ends up on the front of the bike. You might feel this as the front washing out or have the sensation of loosing grip when the tyre is actually folding. The...

    Upgrading to a full Sus...

Is the PPF covering any different to the usual protective film kits? Is it more like a full vinyl wrap on cars? I have heli-tape applied in various areas for protection which has worn through in a couple of places so always interested in hearing about better solutions.

Hard tail vs Full suspension EMTB?

I’m with Blackbird, Knobby’s thread has been completely derailed. Perhaps Rob could move all the extraneous comments to a new hard tail vs FS thread.

    Charging from a vehicle ?

I need something which will deal with the RoPD connection so I can charge without an inverter. I bought a connector pig tail thinking I’d be able to use one of my many rc battery chargers to charge directly from my leisure battery or portable Kalipac solar generators but the RoPD system is not...

    Upgrading to a full Sus...

Mondraker e crafty is a great Bosch powered bike and Eddie has a lot of success with the KTM’s. The Shimano motors have plenty of grunt though, I’m 112kg and have no issues running on a small battery.

    Focus Jam2 Help please

You should be able to pull the cable out by hand. They pop out with a click. Just make sure you pull the plug not the wire. I have the tool but really think it is only necessary for the blanking plugs. Be careful if you do decide to go with pliers not to crush the cable

    That’s better

I had similar issues. Turned out I had the shifter jammed up against the brake which was putting tension on it causing it to bind. Just moved it a bit so nothing was touching and it’s been ok since. Sounds like you are happy with the new controller so all is good??

    Upgrade to Di2 shifting

Sorry I cannot help there. I just remember reading a while ago it was one of the things you need the PC interface for. Maybe one of the guys who have an interface may be able to help out.... One thing you could try is updating the firmware as the systems may do a self check during the process...

    Upgrade to Di2 shifting

I think you need the pc software and interface to let the motor controller know Di2 is installed.
