NSMB.com - Crankbrothers Highline Dropper : Teardown
My view on stuff like this...
if its already fucked, you're not going to make it worse by trying to fix it 👍
What post is it?
Go on, give us a clue!
The standard Orange post on my Crush used to do exactly this when it got wet.
That was down to water getting inside and causing it to lock up.
Unscrewing the collar and leaving it upsdoe down overnight used to sort it out.
The OneUp post on my...
Anyone gone from a Maxxis Dissector to a Bontrager Xr4 or the other way around?
I want something fairly light, fast but still grippy. Currently got a Dissector 2.4 Exo Maxx Terra on the back which is a step in the right direction having removed a DHR2 2.4 Max Grip.
Haven't noticed much...
If we're doing home made stands...
Ok, spinning the cranks is a problem and I need a better mechanism to hold the rear wheel. Ideally, one that isn't velcro tape lol. But so far so good.
It's a work in progress.
Also, don't judge me on the state of my garage.
Small print says SOLD SECURE, not solid.
Buy whatever lock you want that holds a sold secure rating. There are different categories. Silver/ Gold etc. You're small print just says sold secure so anything holding that badge will be OK.
Keep the receipt for the lock. Take pictures of the lock...
New handlebars this week. Wanted to try something with a bit more rise and saw these from Merlin for £40 so couldn't resist.
Cannondale Hollowgram 800mm with a 30mm rise. Weighed in at 204g
The original Orbea bars were a comparatively hefty 385g.
Not quite as nice as the Oneup bars I...
If you've got carbon bars or whatever then 0-20. Otherwise, things just need to be tight enough that they don't move.
Things like Centrelock lock rings and chain ring lock rings at higher torque can be hard to gauge. Especially when they have fine threads so a torque wrench can be helpful...
I fitted a Mezzer Pro to mine before I'd even ridden it.
It's fantastic. All the time everywhere.
It makes me sad that I spent so much time and money modifying Rockshox to make them feel right when the Mezzer does it out of the box.
I'd love a Mara Pro to go on the back but they're mega £...
New XT 10-51 cassette and XT chain this week.
Noticed the original Deore cassette was getting a bit 'sharky' on some of the sprockets and decided to get ahead of the game and buy a replacement so I had one for when I needed one.
Got both delivered from r2 bike for about £130. Cheapest I could...
That's Amazon's pricing weirdness. When items don't sell, the prices drop to lure people in. Then when one sells, the price shoots up.
I buy loads of tools that way. I've had pairs of Knipex and NWS pliers for a tenner. Felo screwdrivers, loads of Unior stuff all for bargainous prices.
I...
The website states 150lbs max for the rack. And that each bike max is 40lbs.
To me, that's saying that anything above 40lbs (like 18kg?) is too heavy.
Email the manufacturer and ask if its suitable for a heavier bike?
Not something I'd be prepared to risk personally. There's plenty of...
Looking at the website, it states a max of 40lbs per bike.
How much does the Wild weigh? I'm guessing substantially more than that? Even with the wheels off, I'm not sure you'll get under that limit.
Yeah, was surprised as well.
I looked at the dried sealant on the bead and thought I'd end up having to remove it but they inflated fine and sealed straight away.
Well, had to leave a tube in over night to stick the tape to the rim but after that, no issues.
Maxis tyres by the way. Minion...
The 27.5 set that I put on my hardtail were bang on weight wise. I think that's why I was so surprised to see the weight of the 29s.
Suprsised, disappointed... Its all the same really.
