I wouldn't necessarily assume that they had the correct amount of oil/ grease from the factory.
While it's a good idea to check the oil levels and grease situation, you're issues don't sound lube based.
You either got air in the lowers (as sadi above) or perhaps your negative spring hasn't...
They maybe need a bit of ride time to loosen up and stretch out a bit. Could try fitting a tube and leaving them overnight at 50psi or something. Or maybe just 30 or whatever tubeless. Don't go too high if they're tubeless!
It's definitely bundled in foam as I can see it wrapped around the adapter. Taunting me. It's so close to squeezing through the hole!
I think the adapter is just too fat to fit through though.
When the cable arrives and I pull it all apart, I'll grab some pics and share 👍
Thanks!
I had seen that article. Mine being a Hydro however is slightly different in the way that the cables enter the frame. The SD50 plug does actually fit through the hole in the frame. The adapter that it plugs into however, does not.
For me, option one is going to be holding the adapter...
Think I've answered my own question.
The E7000 display needs an EW-SD50 cable.
It's the '21 models that came with the E8000 display that use the EW-SD300.
I think. I've ordered one anyway so we'll see.
Had a random switching off issue at the weekend. Rise H30 2021.
Found the cable that runs from the E7000 display into the frame looking quite squashed and flat at the point it enters the frame. Looks like it got twisted with the dropper cable and pinched against the frame.
No pics, sorry...
Zurich home insurance here.
Covers bikes and whatever else is in the (detached) garage. Anything worth over a certain amount (3.5k?) needs to be declared but had no impact on the policy price.
I was expecting to have to install certified locks on the doors and particular locks for bikes etc...
Surrey Hills today. Only one pic because the stupid bike decided to randomly start switching off going down bumpy stuff.
Shame really as there had been 30 miles planned. Most of it bumpy.
Managed 16 miles. One of the puddles I came across was about 6 inches deep.
Not much, you think...
After considering it for ages and using slime tubes as a stop gap, the main factor in me swapping to tubeless was 4 punctures in as many miles.
It was dark and raining.
The new tube I fitted was immediately punctured by a thorn which was residing in the tyre.
1100 miles with one puncture...
Gore tex or other membrane based fabrics will always wet out eventually. The outer later if only water resistant so rain will eventually overcome the DWR.
That doesn't stop the jacket being waterproof. It's the membrane that keeps the water out.
When the outer layer wets out, the...
They're electric motorbike/ scooters.
Not sure what the problem is with those?
Doesn't look like they're marketing them as bicycles. If you had some private land and wanted a fun way to get around these would be great!
Ok, they're expensive but then so are ebikes. Economies of scale mean...
If you're brakes are fading, that's about heat build up rather than a lack of power. If you've already got Ice Tech discs then 7120s with finned pads will help. As a system, it works quite well. While you might still experience fade, the system seems to recover (cool down) far quicker.
Do you...
Cool, thanks.
I've considered waterproof socks but I'd really like to keep the water out of my boots as much as possible. Once they fill up, being Goretex lined they do an excellent job of keeping the water in 🤣
Ok, my feet stay warm with merino socks but the boots take ~3 days to dry out...
How are the ankles on the Fox trousers? Are they stretchy enough to pull over the top of a pair of boots?
Just bought some TLD Resist which have a prominent taper at the the ankle. Although the material is stretchy, the hem on the ankle means it won't stretch at all so I'm still gonna end up...
I like that!
Is it 3 layer? And is it shiny? It looks a bit shiny in the pics.
Sizing looks weird. I'm usually a small in everything but. Going by their guide, I'd be large. How do you find it?
I've got a couple. A Fjern something-or-other. Okam maybe? Occam? Orca? Ocra? Whatever... It's Event membrane based. Fjern is owned (and sold) by SportPursuit.
Also got a Mountain Equipment Rupal which is 3 layer Gore-Tex.
Neither are bike specific but the membranes work to keep the water...
It's hard getting out when you know the weather is shite. I just work off the principle that I'll have a better day being out than I will sitting in front of the tv.
Trousers have helped massively which is a pretty random thing to say.
It's only shite for the first mile or whatever. Beyond...
