All the bikes I mention above are SLs (apart from the spur which is even lighter and even less powerful 😂)

They seem like very similar bikes…why do you want the Levo SL as well as the heckler?

Clearly a prototype. According to the rumours, expect a new LT that replaces shimano with Bosch gen 5. Not heard anything on the AM, maybe a light revision with the new motor? Will be hard for them to sell the AM with the gen4, but it’s still a fairly new bike.

Fair play Zim, glad you’ve sorted yourself out. Some mtb tuition might be handy for reducing the crashing…but you probably can’t get that in rural France. (I once drove 90 minutes to buy a key safe in rural France because it was a Sunday)

Some basic shocks are quite good, my KSL has a float X, it works brilliantly and just gets the job done. I’ve not felt the need to change it. Cheaper stuff like the dps…you’d probably notice upgrading. I swapped from a dps to a ccdba and it was night and day grip/comfort improvement

This is the issue I came to. Even if I could accept the 600w battery, I couldn’t get past the SC pricing/spec - £6.5k for base zebs and NX is just a joke. I considered a Levo for a while, decent power delivery, ride well, but 3yo design?

Wired remote doesn’t sound like a bad thing? One less battery to fail?

Have you considered some coaching? Bikes geometry has changed a lot over the last 10 years and riding stance and style needs to change a little to suit. Weight further forwards, elbows bent, looking further ahead on the trail are key, but some 1:1 or small group with similar riders coaching...

Hopefully the new intense with the Bosch gen 5 manages to retain the svelte DT from the alloy and shave a bunch of weight, and come in more sensibly price than the Vala. And maybe even retain the VPP

Sure, but that’s what warranty’s are for. I’m personally ok with 2 motors in 6 years that mine has done, over about 4000 miles in FoD mud. I’m assuming any bike I buy will do a motor every 18-24 months. I hadn’t spotted the cables 😂 Were they designed by a child? At least it doesn’t have a...
