Could be worse. When I bought my Patrol, Parcel Farce shipped it to the wrong depot, lost it for 4 days and when they finally got around to delivering it, there was a forklift hole in the front of the box and paint chipped off the forks and frame from the forklift
Have you bled the codes? What is the issue you have with them? They boil on alpine descents but work quite well in the UK if bled well.
Hopes are great, but a lot of money.
I can’t share the numbers I was told because they aren’t final, but assuming they don’t change much, I’d say it’s priced inline with other mid tier full fats.
I think it’s the only shinano motor I’ve ridden, was a mates 2020 heckler last year that I hopped on for a lap. Felt nice and punchy tbh. The warranty horror stories on here about bike manufacturers pointing at shimano and shimano pointing at the bike manufacturers would stop me buying a shimano...
My experience is somewhat different, the only Shimano motor I’ve ridden is the 8000, but it had enough poke to comfortably hold a wheelie up a fairly steep fire road in the Wye valley (and instantly made me want to buy the bike because it was a laugh). The current Brose motor is also plenty...
Depends what you’re riding.
I generally notice the lack of torque on my SL when trying to ride up stuff I wouldn’t attempt to ride up on a mtb. It’s fine on fire roads, trail center climbs etc.
The full fat comes into its own when you’re playing the ‘what can I ride up’ game. E-bikes open up...
E-bike range is a function of the amount of climbing, rider effort, power level, rider weight and distance (in no particular order).
Is this the distance/climb you do already on a non e-bike? If so then it should be possible on most e-bikes, if not then you need as much battery as you can get.
How many miles has the ex demo done? Where has it been demoed?
If is done 1000 miles of double black tech, I’d walk away. 50 miles of double track, probably be fine. I’d still be tempted with the new one though
