sure but lower current allows for lower diameter conductors which are cheaper and lighter. usually lower current will put less stress on the electronic components of the motor controller leading to their longer life. the problem with "if the conductors are properly sized for the amperage" is...

Finally I managed to install front light on my cef50. I was hoping to use a lamp that could be powered directly from the wiring harness, but finding the one that would have strong enough light output, be of decent build quality, look well and use below 6W (12V/0.5A) provided by the engine turned...

it doesn't, the magnet is too close to the axle. I've posted photo of my hackish workaround on page 125 ;)

probably this was it, as after charging the battery assist modes work fine

do you know if m820 features some kind of power limiter when battery runs down to 20%? usually when I enter B mode, this feels like a rocket taking off, but today all of the sudden I stopped noticing any difference in assistance level between all of the modes, essentially it felt like driving on...

so it's the same as mine... thanks. I will have to try reversing the base and bottle connector

I'm sorry if spamming too much, but after fixing all the initial issues (rattling cables, loose headset) I'm really starting to like this bike. Currently, the remaining issues that I see are: minor cable rattling in the headtube - I haven't used foam tubes there so as not to increase friction...

the 800ml bottle seems to be longer but thinner than 590ml (820 vc 880mm) - according to the measurements posted by some online shops

It seems they must have moved bottle cage holes at least 2cm down in later models - taking measurements from your photo I guess the upper hole is approx. 18cm from the tube start on your frame but it's like 20-21cm on mine. Could you measure this and confirm?

same for me. on one side it seems to be tightened higher than usual, on the other I know there's a piece of plastic inside that will eventually deform. setting this right is very problematic

it took almost whole day but I finally managed to squeeze the foam tubing into the chainstays to prevent the cables from rattling. here's a trick I used: I wrap the tube in the slick office tape to decrease friction with rough inner carbon/resin surface. I put some PTFE grease on the outside of...

when I add headset spacer between plastic-alu cone and headset cover, I make a cutout with scissors similar to the alu element underneath it. otherwise it will definitely cut into the cables (esp. the electrical ones). one 0.25mm spacer is not enough, 2 or 3 will be needed

The weight is roughly the same as the regular Yari - Charger weights approximately the same as Motion Control, the same for DebonAir C1. My Yari/Lyrik weights 2.05kg. I bought a new Yari RC during black weekend sales for ~369$, upgrade kit for ~380$, this is approx. 2/3 price of a new Lyrik...

Ah, the engine cover... I think this is rather the problem with poor engine cover design (gen 1 & 2). I don't know how gen 3 will perform in this regard, but there seems to be a hope that it could be fixed. I wouldn't link this to any particular fork, I guess people install bash guards in analog...

What problems with bb height you have in mind? I use Yari upgraded to Lyrik Ultimate 170 and it performs fine. This was also the most cost-effective option. I guess the difference between Lyrik and Zeb of the same stroke is mainly the stanchion diameter, which affects stiffness and weight, so...
