we cant pull firmware from engine so far
here are currently avaiable firmwares collected by multiple users:
https://github.com/OpenSourceEBike/Bafang_M500_M600/tree/main/Firmwares/Official/Motor
a word about versioning - the firmwares are not superseeding each other, that means the higher...
47.7V its rather for 43V battery.
Anyway, if you owe 43V battery, just change the firmware in engine to 43V (Bafang need send one to you) and will work.
peak power is limited to 15A instead of 18A, thats what i am sure. Unfortunately cant say more, in my opinion the 46.7 is requiring less strength on pedal on lvl 5 to get max power output, i have no comparison to other.
That whould be great if you could compare it to other f/w. I tried that in...
Yes, its for M500.
For M600 there is detuned 15A 48V firmware:

On what firmware on M600 are you?
i noticed something simiar on 15A and 18A (46.7) firmwares from M600.
Have you noticed that on 15.8 13A from M500?
i may be wrong but i have a feeling on 13A 15.8 had no such effect - worth testing.
On what firmware are you?
i think i have similar observations but i had no clue because i observed this rarely.
At least we know we can push amps and engine have temp protection - thats good news.
Boost works not so bad, at least it „is”. Other brand engines are ending on 25 and thats it.
In M500/M600 you can just push boost and bike will ride faster.
Od course the best is just connect a throttle and remove this nonsense limit.
m500 on 13Amps had around 42 max speed, on 18AM600...
CAN is imo huge disadvantabe. With uart you can do everything, with can - nothing as we can see here, at least no one did.
Thats the most wanted feature we dont have in M500/M600. To remove a limit and enable/disable throttle at one click.
Guys, i have placed the M600 controller (with 15A limited firmware) to M500 and it feels stronger of course.
However i have switched the power output to Ampers and started look on it.
I am not sure which one of firmwares now are more torque required to get full power, my old 13A or new 15A...
