Hmm, could you tell more a bit of it? I am using the walk mode from this 3 button panel and pushing power button to activate walk mode.
Is throttle limited to 6km/h when you enter the 'walk icon' by - button on panel?
Its official i received from Bafang when i asked for better battery attenuation and peak power matching 36V firmware.
I had no errors during usage, throttle working also fine. Its surely weaker than M600 - around 30% when we relate it to peak power.
About the the physical effort - its set in...

If that is 'rated 250W' and some manufacturer claims that then should be OK i think. The peak power have no matter - important in case of 'rated' power is fact if manufacturer is claiming its 250W. I mean not by having a sticker - but as a builder of your bike i think in 'worst case scenario'...

I am curious M510 is M500 v2 or its something different. @Rob Rides EMTB have you a possibility to contact the new Cheeb v1 owner and ask what firmware version you had on this motor? That would be helpful to figure out few things.
M600 is 48V, its running on 18Amps, it means 54.6V (fully charged) * 18A = 983W.
For 43V its 20A and its mean 50.4V*20A=1008W
For 36V its 25A and its mean 42V*25A=1050W
M500 is different case, by the default 36V version is on 15 Amps and recent one on 17Amps. The 48V is by the default on 10A...
