I must admit, ive had my gen 3 now for two weeks and am rather un-impressed. I don't find it that much better than than the gen 2 I also have. I think I should of waited for the gen 4 and just kept riding the gen 2 ...
Lets hope this gen 4 is worth the wait for anyone still sitting on the fence.
Im curious about this "Make your stem length the same as your fork offset" theory .... will give that a try , but will probably got down to 35mm as I was running a 35mm on my gen 2 which is shorter than the gen 3.
Hi
I would like to get a idea of what stem length you are running on your Gen 3 S4 Levo's ?
I have tried a 35 but find the front keeps washing out on corners (could be cause I'm a shit rider)
A warning .. when you put the piece on that goes on the drive side buy the chain guide.... be aware that there is a little pin that is part of the chain guide and hole where that pin goes into ... I made the mistake or torquing the chain guide back and the pin was not in the hole 🤦♂️
A little...
I did this last night .... the protection on the rear pops right off from the front and is attached to the lower swing link ... I let it just hang there while I worked the invisiframe stuff on and then popped it right back on
Yes it comes with the pump ...
Since that picture was taken I have added a piggyback shot, so had to make an adjustment .... works perfect with a water bottle and pump and a float x, and swat tool.
You have convinced me to stick with my gen 2 and wait for the gen4, was about to purchase a gen 3.
Even if 1/2 of what you say is true, It will be worth the wait as there is still nothing wrong with my gen2
Are you on a S4 ? checked again. With a 32 I still get two different chain lenghts for low and high
with a 34T I can run the same chain length. So perhaps best to upgrade to a 34T then there wind be a problem.
So I have been researching adding T-type to my S4 levo.
Seems that according to Sram, if I run the bike in High, I need to use 116 links, if I run in low I need to use 118. Does that mean I need two different chains every time I want to swap bb height?
How badly will ti effect the shining and...
I suspect they will go Sram motor and system (with larger battery) since they have mice tune, they can use the range and rally modes of sram but incorporate microtune.
Only thing I would like (which I think they can already implement if they wanted to is coast shifting for transmission.
I know this might a little pre-mature.
But Im about to spend a lot of money of a new gen3 (Pro)
How long has the current Gen 3 been out when is the expected launch of the Gen 4 ? or a Updated Gen 3 (not talking about just a spec bump, but new features bump)
Don't want to buy the bike and 3...
I found the opposite.
I had to sell my X2 and replace it with a float X and I had to pump the shock over the max pressure to get close to 30% sag.
Now im running a float x with a small neg spacer and im super happy
