    Pic of the Day

The end of the tail near the rattler is typical, distinct markings of a Diamondback Rattlesnake. If you look closely, he is pissed off and about to coil up. I’ve heard, and not positive it is true, that there are somewhere near 250 rattlesnakes per acre in some areas. Right now is coming up on...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

My display does not have a gap and sits flush. I did crack the LCD screen due to the location. It was my fault. I’d prefer to have no display, just an on button. I use a Garmin Edge 830 for all my information as it reads all my AXS shifting. I really like seeing which gear I am in. It...

New e bike with bosch motor....

As another has said, what about the Trek Rail. My buddy loves his bike. There are several on sale right now too. Trek will never go out of business if you are worried about that.

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

I may mess with it some more. Stillwell Performance (suspension shop) said the 2024 X2 is the best performing air shock on the market, with the exception of the EXT. I am sure that is a matter of opinion or preference though. The Marzocchi Bomber is riding REALLY good, so I don’t think, at...

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

I’ll sell you my 2024 X2 in 205 x 62.5 (increases travel to 146 mm). It has only been ridden 2 times. I am only selling it because I am not good at setting up suspension and wanted something easy to set up, so I installed the Marzocchi Bomber. $400 if you are interested. Again, this is the...

Orbea Rise and Sram Transmission. Compatibility?

If I was on a Rise, I would be looking at getting the Shimano DI2 Linkglide in 11 speed. I don‘t think an EMTB needs 12 gears. It is less expensive and wouldn’t require any adapter to install.

Downhill Stance - What Foot Forward?

I ride my bike with my feet just like my skateboard, surfboard, snowboard, etc. I am right handed and ride goofy foot (right foot forward). I do switch back and forth between the right and left foot down on turns and berms so I can weight the pedals for traction and provide some clearance.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel Exe Battery Charging/balancing - for those who know about batteries

I have almost 1,800 miles on my EXe. My battery is still working great. Charges to 100%. Even if I don’t ride it for more than a week, when I turn it on, it still has 100% charge. I have not noticed any reduction in power supply. I am getting the same distance and elevation as when new. I...

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

Looking for some advice on my X2. I am not going through all of my travel per the photo below. Based on the photo, should I remove a volume spacer or leave it alone? Any other recommendations? The shock is feeling good otherwise, but I would like to use all of the available travel. I...

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

What year is the X2? Prior to 2024, there were issues with the shock. I just sent my X2 back to Fox and they sent me a brand new 2024.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I hang mine, but all the weight is supported on the back wheel on my MTB’s. My gravel bikes just hang.

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

You got a really good deal. Congratulations. Hopefully that is a 2024, not an earlier model. My 2022 rode like shit. I’ve heard the 2023’s weren’t any better. When I brought shock Into Stillwell for warranty, they had piles of warrantied X2’s sitting on their shelf. They said every year...

    Fuel EXe Fuel exe reliability

You will get better range and more power with the Fazua. There are tests on line. It Is my understanding the Rise is still the most powerful and best range with the 540 wh battery. Great deals on those as well. Fazua has too many issues, and that is the same across all the bikes that use it.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

The internal battery is 360 wh. The battery shouldn’t need to be full or be a large batteryto get full power. If so, wouldn’t that mean we would lose power on all our rides as the battery drained.

    Fuel EXe Fuel exe reliability

1,600 miles. My remote controller for the motor had to be replaced. That has been my only issue to date. The bike has been otherwise flawless. Motor is still quiet. Everything is as advertised. I would never buy anything with the Ride 60 motor. If I were you, I’d give it a few months to...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Fun ride yesterday. Used both batteries. Still had 20% left in one and 11% in the other. All mid and boost, no eco.

    Garmin Watch

Same here. Trailforks and Strava apps work on it. It will use EMTB apps to show elevation, miles, AXS gear, EMTB battery life, etc. Think Garmin 830 in a watch. The battery drains quicker when tracking with GPS, but there is easily enough for long rides.

    Lightweight/Midpower bike WITH removable battery?

I have 2 batteries for my Fuel EXe. I regularly swap out batteries on the trail for long rides 40 miles all mid and high assist. It is easy and only 2 bolts to remove the battery. I hear really good things about the Transition Relay, but terrible things about the Fazua Ride 60. I would...
