Makes me glad I was in pestering my LBS to order me one last April when they were announced.
You might get a choice of colours when they eventually have stock. I've seen a silver one and the red/orange colour that people got as frame only. Mine was sold as silver, but black turned up!!
I guess all of the above categories fall into place when making a decision.
I wanted a single bike to do it all. A light weigh trail bike, that can still have a blast down the DH runs, but can be pedalled 30+ miles round the fire tracks and woods.
I picked one with good geometry / handling...
I needed something else in my basket to spend enough for free postage when ordering some purple bling for my daughter’s bike.
I saw this blue / black Camelbak Podium Chill bottle, and thought it’d go nicely with my bike. I also bought the dirt cap for it too. Well worth spending about £18 to...
I use Wurth Brake Cleaner too - but aerosol tins. Funnily enough, we use EXACTLY the same ones at work 😂
Been using it for 15+ years with no issues. It removes any oil / contaminate and dries in within seconds. If you spray it on your hands, your fingers start going white as it sucks the...

Here's one for...
That looks very much like a re-branded Park Tool one. Even with the discount code, the Park DAG2.2 at £65 sounds expensive for something I may never use when I can have a clone for £31.49 (can get that same ebay one from another seller cheaper).
I've got some Park Tools in my collection and...
I was half tempted to order one, as I can get it for £65 just now. I've got an almost 9 year old and a 4 year old - so will probably have many years of bike repairs ahead of me. My AXS Transmission doesn't have a hanger, so it's not required for me!
I rode the Levo SL 1.1 from February 2020 through to May 2023, and have had a Levo SL 1.2 since (about 10 months now).
In answer to the title of the thread - yes, I am happy. For me, the newer Levo SL is a much nicer bike to ride. The geometry suits me better, and I've gone from an XL gen 1...
I spent ages trying to do it by eye, and then with the yellow blocks... but neither could get them exactly right, and I always had a little scuff noise.
One day an advert came up on social media (can't remember if it was FB or Insta - probably targeted and listening to me complaining 😂) for a...
I didn’t give the LBS any information when I dropped the bike off, other than I’d like the gears indexed.
They called just now saying they can’t get them indexed correctly - basically the same as me… they can get sections working, but not them all.
He said he thought either the derailleur or...
Part of me grudges putting a heap of expensive stuff on her bike, as she won’t appreciate it! She’ll probably leave it sitting in a neighbours garden or something, and someone will nick it!
If the SX breaks, then I’d probably stick my old one on rather than buying a new one… but for now, the SX...
Thanks for the tips...
On the call to the online bike store today, the guy advised that their mechanics build up the bike in-store and test them, before partly disassembling for shipping. Apparently, this is why it's in a different box to it should be (I never actually noticed - it was a big...
I realise the SX is the bottom of the range Eagle, but it's for a 9 year old! I do actually have my X01 derailleur / shifter sitting in a box from where I changed my Stumpy to AXS... but I don't really want to give her that!
I called the online store I bought it from this morning. They've...
I don’t own the POD Bridge… so buying this would save me the £60 to get one.
Might give it a try.
To be honest, I’m quite happy with the way I have the original bar clamp now I’m used to it… but it’d be nice to one less band round my bars.
This is a non EMTB question, but hopefully someone can help me anyway…
I bought my daughter a Specialized Rockhopper for her birthday. She’s going to be 9, and I’ve got her an XS ‘Expert’ model. Grandma is the one buying it, so I had to get the best deal possible. This meant ordering online…...
OK - I think I'm following...
Use the bike as a wheel truing station - the zip tie should be cut to touch the rim (on either side I assume?) and as I rotate the wheel I can see if it touches the zip tie or not.
Just wondering - how swapping them 1 by 1 and setting them to the same tension as...
