Here’s my spares. I’m keeping the 2 x 2 different blue ones sitting on the packet (as they’re the spares for mine)… but can easily send you a couple of yellows to replace the broken ones… or 4 of any of the coloured ones?
When I bought the purple ones about 4 years ago, each one I pushed in cracked. It was like the new ones were brittle. I emailed Magura support, and they sent me out a new pack… along with some nice Magura biro pens, and some stickers 👍
The replacements went in perfectly.
I fitted AXS to my Gen 1 levo the day I got it. I simply undid the cable screw on the rear derailleur, popped the cable out of the shifter, and hauled it from the shifter end. The whole thing came out with 1 big pull.
That was a carbon frame (expert). I believe the Alloy frame may have...
I was about £12 for 250ml. I've still got over 1/2 my bottle left that I bought 4 years ago. I cut the hoses and filled the brakes / bled them... and then about 10 months ago moved them onto another bike - so had to drain the fluid and refill with new.
They don't take a lot to fill them.
Yes...
I wanted 2 different blues to match my spokes... so I had to order 2 packs of the bloody things to get the colours I wanted.
I had purple on my previous bike... I must have a box of spare rings somewhere, as they were a different pack too.
Fair enough. I'm using Magura rotors, brakes and pads... so I'll stick with their method.
It certainly worked, as the stopping distance from stop 1 to stop 10 was unbelievable. 10-30 didn't improve by much.
As per the OP, my brakes had very little stopping power until I bedded them in.
Excuse the mess in the background 🙄
Here's my bike on the scales with the Cannibals on - 17.56kg on my baggage scales. As I work for a calibration company, I've actually had the scales certified, and they're 0.09kg high at 18.kg... so the bike actually weighs 17.45kg.
Close up - but still...
I can't remember the exact bedding procedure, but I followed it to the letter - and found the difference from the 1st stop to the 30th (I think?) was night and day.
If I remember correctly, it's something like going from 20mph to a dead stop 30 times? I have a wee hill outside my house, so...
I've got both too, and carried a spare battery in my pack for almost 3 years and never used it once!
I bought an AXS 'derailleur only' for my Stumpjumper about 18 months ago, and used my spare battery and my spare controller for it. Now, I don't carry a spare battery anymore... although I do...
Might have to give some of this a try and see how it compares with MucOff. I'm probably about £5 per litre of MucOff.
I was tempted to put the MucOff into one of those pump and spray bottles as it'd be easier / quicker to apply than the current trigger spray bottle it's in!
I did that with the...
I have no idea what's in MucOff - as it's meant to be environmentally friendly... but leave it on some dried in dirt, and rinse it off - and it's clean! Amazing stuff! Amazon usually do good Black Friday deals on it where you get 5L bottles for about £20. I usually get a couple, and refill my...
I don't think that's just bikes... cars have piss poor paint quality now, and gloss for your skirting boards is awful.
They're removing all the chemicals to make things safer - which is good - but the quality of the paint suffers.
I have a place that powder coats our pressure recorder cases (for work) when we're refurbing them. I've sent them wheels before, and they did 4 for £100. I bet they'd do me a good deal.
My daughter got a new bike for her birthday, and yesterday took her maiden voyage...
That now leaves her old Specialized Riprock redundant. It's bright pink, and in immaculate condition. Previously, I've found kids bikes sell for a fraction of what they cost... so I loathe the thought of...
Product name: Mucky Nutz - Mugguard Rear Fender
Price paid: £28 (Black Friday Deal) £38 RRP
Score (out of 10): 9/10
Review:
Firstly, it’s not a spelling error - it is actually called a MUGguard! 🤷🏼♂️
I’ve been testing this out over the last month or so. On my previous bike, I had a...
I'm in Scotland, and I'd say about 70% of the year our trails are wet and sloppy. Even when the sun is out, it takes a lot off effort to clear up the water / dry the mud out. As a result, almost every ride (apart from a few months in summer) probably ends up with the bike covered in thick...
It wasn’t until I was in the car home, I thought I should have told them to charge me more! I had £35 repair authorised!
My eMTB has a T-Type on it, so is mounted directly to the frame - no need for a hanger.
Going to pick up one of the cheaper hanger alignment tools anyway though for the kids...
99 Bikes sent me out a new hanger. I gave it to the shop, and they have to fit / index the gears… then give me a receipt for the work - and 99 Bikes will pay it.
Dropped the hanger off at about 4pm yesterday, and had a call at about 3pm today telling me it was ready.
I collected the bike...
