    My new e160 rsx

Didn't fit the O-ring, used some blue loctite (243) and put on 'tell tales' so can see if it's coming loose.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Recently chucked money at 2 pairs of Fillmore valves for our bikes then found that out. :( https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/bye-bye-fillmore-valves.40216/

    Pic of the Day

Did 20 miles through Venus Woods near Cocking with South Downs way in the left distance. Basically a test run for the new Maxxis High Roller 3 DH 29 front. With recent rain it's getting muddy - cleared mud really well and kept a downhill line incredibly well. Move over Magic Mary. ;)

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Sorry, missed this ^^^ There's a thread on the top of the Fillmore poppet valve and a matching thread inside the cap. When the cap is screwed on it pulls up the poppet valve thus closing it.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Answer: Fillmore valve 1mm internal passage is self-evidently too small for a sealant with a larger particle size. Being required to pour sealant directly into a bead-off tyre in order to get around a Fillmore valve design problem is taking the piss. Not for me, as said before it's back to...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

Removed Fillmore valves from wife and my bikes and replaced them with Presta valves which is what was there before. https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/bye-bye-fillmore-valves.40216/

What did you buy your ebike this week?

I took a Fillmore valve to pieces to measure it for the below post - there is no spring in it. https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/bye-bye-fillmore-valves.40216/post-569624

    Bye-bye Fillmore valves

The Fillmore valve solves one problem but creates another one. Needs a complete rethink

    Bye-bye Fillmore valves

Replaced Fillmore valves with Presta valves, then measured Presta and Fillmore valves at pump end of valves. Presta valve body ID with core removed = ~4.2mm Fillmore valve body ID = ~3.5mm Fillmore poppet valve stem OD = ~1.5mm So the Fillmore valve has (3.5-1.5)/2 = 1mm each side of the...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

This is what I use, Muc-Off sealant always goes in no probs. As you can see in the pic, the end of the tube goes over the Presta valve body (with the valve removed of course).

How much shock do you really need?

Vaguely (?) interesting implied point there - wonder what the target rider+bike weights forks and shocks are designed around?

    Bye-bye Fillmore valves

Because it works so well decided to keep the Muc-Off sealant and go back to Presta. (IMO) Fillmore valves need a redesign, for example with the poppet valve removable from the top.

    Is Orbea customer service horrible

Dealers come and go, fact of life. If you don't want to buy (directly or indirectly) from a dealer then you'll have to buy direct. Your call.

    Is Orbea customer service horrible

Far better to depend upon facts rather than hearsay. In any case, if you want absolute certainty there's only one certainty in life.
