"The revised down tube–which they’re calling Straight Shot–is said to make the new Fuel EX stiffer than the current Remedy" - Trek
Funny, you would think their big bad enduro bike (Slash) would be the perfect candidate for this design, but they have clearly abandoned this engineering "marvel"...
Levo SL motor does not have the same issues as the Brose motor on the FF Levo. Very reliable. Butcher and Eliminator Grid Trail tires are also pretty nice IMO.
Why bring the Levo/Brose motor into this? We're talking about the Levo SL, which has the Specialized/Mahle 1.1 motor. So far very reliable and does not rattle...
Great points on both bikes here. Love this site, no trolls.
Had the FF Alloy first. 52# tons of power. Heavy on the descents, but got used to it. Had to manhandle the bike though.
The plan was to split time on the FF and my SC Hightower 2. Problem was, when riding the HT, would miss the...
Also love my SL. Was a bit unsure of the somewhat conservative geo (coming from a Hightower 2), but works just fine for me. More than enough power, I am a fit rider, so YMMV. The 2020 expert SL is overpriced though for the kit that it comes with. swapped just about everything out (Pike...
Snapped a couple of chains on my Levo SL. Now using a KMC 12spd E-bike chain, problem solved.
Here's the 11spd version. Will work with GX just fine.

Same thing happened on my regular mtn bike w/ Line Pro 30 rear wheel. In the middle of Mag 7 Moab no less. Long walk. Worked as a mechanic at a Trek Superstore for a couple of years. Fairly common problem. Rebuilt the wheel with a DT 350. DT-Swiss engineering is superior, the ratchet...
Anyone here with a 2021 Levo SL with the stock DPX2? I'd like to know what the tune ID is for that shock. Planning to send in an aftermarket DPX2 to Fox to have it tuned. They are hard to get a hold of. Thanks.
Not a carbon expert by any means, nor am I affiliated w/Specialized. Looking at the way the downtube is cracking, de-laminating, looks like you ran into something with considerable force. Are you saying this happened when riding/navigating a switchback??
Curious as to how you got it under 36 pounds. You must have some seriously light wheels/tires. No dropper?
I took the battery out for a few rides, only rode with the range extender. Could crank out some 15 mile rides with about 20-25% battery left. Lots of modified eco. Down to about 35...
He was talking about the towing capacity, actually lack thereof. It can't even " pull the skin off a rice pudding and would be useless towing 3.5 tons".
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, everyone is different. In my opinion, the green clear coat is beautiful and clearly screams...
