Definitely something off with your SL. I have cleaned some seriously steep, techy, long inclines with mine with relative ease. Some that I would never be able to do on my Stumpjumper under my own power.
And the power, especially under trail and turbo is very, very apparent.
Looks stunning in person. Did 16 miles with about 3000 ft of climbing. My friend's Pole had about 60% battery left. I had just over a third of my battery left on my SL -using the range extender. I used a lot of turbo to try to keep up on the climbs, but he dropped me easily. Rode his Voima...
A friend of mine here in the US just got his bike a few weeks ago, ordered in March. Battery finally arrived a couple of days ago. I'll see it in person this weekend. He's gonna drop me hard (I'm riding the Levo SL).
Levo SL w Butcher Grid Trail/Vittoria Agarro- both 2.6"
total bike weight 19kg w/range extender.
My weight 87kg
Using mostly trail, with some turbo for steepish tech sections. Using range extender, so 480wh of battery.
When using the range extender, the battery capacity starts at 150% in...
My motor died at 2300 miles. Just quit engaging. Bike was 1.5 yrs into warranty. Had a new motor from Spez in about 10 days. Never found out what happened with the original motor. 1100 miles on new motor, going strong.
I recall one of the updates addressed this issue specifically. My LBS is a former employer (bike mechanic) and I would hang out in the shop while they did the firmware updates. The updates make a significant difference in the power delivery and how the bike rides.
One negative experience: the...
I don't feel as much flex when pushing the rear end hard after installing a Cascade link. It looks burlier than the stock link and is CNC'd.
I'm 195-200 pounds rtr.
Cascade components claims 70% more progressivity over the stock link. Works great with my DPX2.
I bought the DPX2 aftermarket...
Same price? Definitely go with the '20 S-Works. Same motor, tcu, battery and frame but much higher end components (carbon wheels, carbon handlebar, factory suspension etc.)
.
They are 100 grams lighter, although the 2nd generation posted by Osh look beefier. They are easier to damage. I didn't replace the boots soon enough and scuffed the ends a bit, but no cracks or delamination. Just picked up 4 pairs of boots from Praxis. I imagine pedal strikes will be...
Yeah, but that frame says "S-Works" on it :p
Absolutely love mine, even though it has the lowly "Specialized" on the downtube.
BTW, all of the carbon models, including the S-Works, have the exact same frame. At least my '21 S-Works (100% human powered) Stumpy frame has a carbon shock...
Doesn't bother me, kind of like it actually.
I don't really care what people think of me or the bike when I pass them.
Just like I don't care when E-bikers pass me when I'm on my regular bike.
