for the m600, its dependent on the PAS Levels. It's pegged on the maximum watts per level. so each pas level will yield different Vmax.

as others has mentioned, bafang releases fw based on needs of its customer, so I don't think age has anything to do with how the fw behaves. As we have witnessed based on your tests, the fw doesn't really progresses or improved with every releases. it's just random based on needs.

there were rave reviews over the 46.6 in terms of torque delivery and less brutal and battery range was better than the 46.6. Maybe it's worth a comparison.

Have you tried 14.6? Its the bafang standard fw for Luna M600.

That's quite a drastic drop in range. 60% utilisation for 25km is thirsty. Not sure if it's because you are on Pas 2. We're you in PAS settings 5 or 9?.

Use PAS 9 levels. It will tame the torque by a bit.

One of the way to overcome this is to change the riding style and start using the rear brakes like a clutch to control the surging. It helps when you are climbing steeps or over obstacles to modulate the torque.

i am on 46.7 as well, and i am hoping someone can chime in on the bfang 14.6 firmware compared to the 46.7 in terms of torque level at PAS 1 and battery consumption.
