I get the whole logistics thing, what I don't understand is the lack of communication when there's a logistical glitch. Keeping the customer informed that there is a delay would offset most of the negative sentiments whereas waiting and not hearing anything from a retailer undermines goodwill.
I got these ones as the self extracting type were out of stock everywhere. They were cheap and they did the job fine. It looks like that listing has ended but there are plenty of similar ones out there. Any that fit ISIS axles should fit afaik.

I had a similar issue with Fox UK a while back when I ordered my Speedframe which they showed as being in stock. I waited about ten days and had heard nothing so I contacted them and they said they'd had to get the helmet from Fox Europe and that was why it was delayed. First off, why didn't...
I use carbon grip paste on my seatposts on all my bikes. I don't have any creaks plus you could potentially use a bit less torque than recommended if you wanted to.
I'd prefer a sticky tyre up front but a heavier casing on the rear but that combination doesn't exist afaik. Enduro Super Soft front and DH soft rear would be my ideal. As it is my Enduro Soft rear is doing pretty well so far.
I found I was getting a few pedal strikes initially and so I swapped the flip chip to high and bought a pair of Miranda 155 cranks to try (with a view to upgrading to Hopes if I liked the shorter cranks). My advice would be to just swap the cranks, I'm struggling to find any negatives on my bike...
For me it would be the analogue bike every time. I find analogue bikes way quicker and more entertaining on descents. My Strava times support this, I'm significantly slower on my ebike even though it doesn't always feel like it.
If you can find one try a Columbia Outdry jacket. You won't win any fashion contests but they are very waterproof and don't have an outer layer to wet out. Other than looking weird I'd say the other disadvantage is that Outdry fabric isn't the most breathable thing in the world but if you want...
I can't comment on the Kryptotal front tyre but I have a Kryptotal Enduro soft (rear version) on the back and it's very good. I have a DHF on the front and was planning to go DHR2 on the rear but I couldn't get a DD casing version anywhere.
Having mixed tyres bothers my OCD as well but as I'm...
Great info ta. I'm in Helensburgh so it's a fair old drive but doing a mini roadtrip there and a few other places would make it worthwhile. We're also spending a week in Feshiebridge in January so a day trip may be possible then.
Looks like a great wee trip Binhill. Did they charge you to stay overnight? I last rode there three years ago but there's been a lot of development since then. I must be overdue another visit (and I have a camper too).
I recently rode my normal bike again as I snapped the mech on my Reign and I was blown away by how much better it was on descents. Without all that weight you can just put the bike exactly where you want it and as you say they feel so alive compared to the dead feeling you get from a heavy...
I would imagine a coil shock will make it less poppy not more poppy. Might be worth having your X2 serviced before shelling out loads on a new shock, it would be a selling point even if you decide you still don't like it and want to sell the X2 and get something else. FWIW I was talking to the...
I think that as long as you know what a certain pressure reading on your guage equates to on the trail then the actual accurate pressure doesn't really matter. It's just a relative thing so if 20psi on your guage feels right on the trail, it doesn't really matter whether it's actually 20psi or...
Yeah, that was going to be the next thing that I tried but I've found that rolling the bars forward and swapping back to Ergon grips has helped with hand pain and as I mentioned refitting my standard bars has restored front end grip and stopped the understeer from happening.
I'm 182 cm tall and...
I think sometimes it can depend on the angle that your wrists are at. So a short reach with a relatively high saddle puts an acute bend on your wrists which leads to wrist and hand discomfort whereas a longer reach can allow your wrists to be straighter leading to less discomfort.
