I second the assegai on the front - it just works. Regards the rear; I love the high volume of the dhrII and dhf, but can't get the casing I would like in 2.6. I'll choose differently when my current dhf (summer) dhrII (winter) tyres wear out. Incidentally I have one of them in a dual compound...
I used to have a whippet. She could wake up, jump off the couch, and make like a ninja through all the upright half full wine glasses and bottles on the floor no problemo. It was an awesome party trick. They say people are like their dogs  :ROFLMAO:.
I don't doubt anything that has been said here. I have the same forks, I think. They're on a 2020 merida e140 LTD. Mine seem OK. The area I ride in is rocky and hardpack. Lots of chatter between big steep climbs and big steep descents with drops. I've been getting into jumps as well, which is a...
a guy I used to ride with has a giant - he makes climbs look easy. He just sits up and pedals :ROFLMAO: He is a good rider. The giant has long chain stays - but that dude can manual it really well too. I have short chain stays, but seat pushed forward and trailbike geometry. I just focus on...
I have a couple of doozies - not doing them lately because it's pretty wet in that area. I climb up at least two of them each time I go that way. I also return via them - awesome downhills for me. I always go half way up "back o belbins", then take the blue to the left. They are marked as...
It has been a couple of months for me. I went to a smaller chainring - from 34 to 32. I choose the steep technical climbs and generally I'm in a low assistance mode. My chainring is cheap and aluminium - I don't expect it to last that long. I think I can reverse it. I have two spares.
The life...
Thinking more on your injuries zimmer - what a terrible combination; ribs and finger  I hope mrs or mr (your significant other) has a sense of humour similar to yours :)
I've always worn tyres down. Now I have a mullet...I gave it some thought after your question, for my own needs. I...
I love the look of the aggressor. Maxxis are a bit frustrating. I like the 2.6 high volume type tires on the rear and really need a dd casing for the damping - maxxis don't make that combo. The sides of the exo and exo+ are too weak for the rear and I need to put more pressure in; with a tube in...
I wish I could use clip ins. A foot / ankle injury and I can't get my left out in those slow manouvering / stalling moments - I must have slammed my left hip and shoulder 100 times literally. I've gone to flats and I know it has saved me so many times. I've got gnarly pins that want blood - the...
I had a similar thing happen a few years ago - it was about a cm cut that started to bulge (using tubes). I used a single patch of cloth tape that covered the area keeping the bulge in the middle of the patch. No more bulge for the life of the tyre. I would have cleaned it pretty will, and...
I think it's that tree zimmer - it looks like an australian native. I think it's a youclippedus; a youclippedus properard? - they're notorious for mtb and emtb riders. ;)
Yikes! Broken finger and mangled ribs - no laughing for you for a while, or picking your nose - how will you...
Well, it's not meant to come out, if it has come out. If you're sure it's come out, and not from another source - I'd have it looked at under warranty. The oil will need to be replaced at the least. I have a history with motorcycles, admittedly more speed involved. It was often hard to discern...
They look good - I'm looking for an all year rear tyre to compliment the assegai on the front. Are the 2.6 rear large volume - how do they compare to a dhf dhrII in 2.6?
yes, I'd prefer that too. I prefer function over form - but that still looks good as well. I wouldn't be surprised if that adds to the strength of the frame, which is opposite to internal.
