Update.
After two weeks waiting for parts, its fixed.
Also:
- The battery cover was not fitted to the battery correctly, so sorted that and the battery fits flush to the frame and a lot easier to remove.
- The fork bumper on the frame was the wrong way round, making it harder to remove the...
Have looked online and found the Sam2 6.8 bars are 35mm, 780mm length and, i think, 8deg rearword, 5deg upward. But i cant rise?
Are the Sam2 6.8 bars 10mm, 20mm or 35mm rise?
Cheers RustyMTB. Im waiting for the bike shop to let me know when the bike is sorted, they were waiting for parts from FOCUS.
I will see when the bike is returned.
Thanks. I will use GT40 on the key and lock when i get the bike back.
Its a shame about the headset, i like how tidy it is with its routing but not at the expense of issues.
Had the SAM 6.8 for just 55 miles and its back at the supplying store for a 3rd time, this time under warranty.
After the first ride i couldnt get the battery out, so the lock was adjusted and the battery position tweaked.
Second (short ride) the dropper post wouldn't work, so back for adjusting...
I sold my last bike 3 weeks ago.
Sent pics to the buyer, had a conversation on whats app and then he came to look. Had a test ride but kept hold of his car keys as assurance.
Did a bank transfer, bike sold 👍
If you find a solution please me know.

First ride completed with no issues.
Shocks are amazing, rides so well. Need to get used to 29" wheels.
The plastic cover under the Bosch motor is just a trap for grass, weeds and muck, i dont get its purpose and suspect it will get broken.
Just bought a Jam2. 6.8.
Looked at used but got new, with used i would have to factor in potential shock service, chain, software updates, brakes etc. With new you also have warranty back up.
Collected.
Shop mechanic has gone through the whole bike, Bosch firmware updates done, shocks set up for me. Even did tubeless for me FOC.
Return in 6 weeks for a check over.
Home now, fit pedals, and set up seat/dropper/handle bar/brake levers/bosh display positions.
Nipped i to a well known and respected bike shop today. They had two Vitus in for a service. Nice bikes and decnet spec but for some reason i wasnt drawn to them enough to buy one, so thats off the list.
Bike shop said all three were good bikes, the Focus would suit my needs better than the...
