. Bike park days, just drop it down as low as possible.. I'm 6'3" and can normally get away with a 180mm.. it's out of the frame probably 4-5 inches to fit me.
I can tell you the RS ultimate is pretty horrible for me compared to many others. But it may be fine at your weight.
Big jumps.. may want to play with the tokens see how that effects it. It will help with the jumps. I generally turn up the compression for jump lines. But you can get used to...
For Fox is a "less" dampened tune.. I verified it with Fox. Supposed to help with long rides ..
If you are only 160 and don't race Enduro, the RC 3.1 may feel a bit harsh. The grip2, fit4, or the newer X would probably be better for you.
The rockshoxs are really good at race speed, Fox has a...
If you are over 200lbs.. I would go with a 38 fork. I have a Zeb with an Avalanche damper that I will be using. Being 240lbs, stock dampers don't do well with rebound.. The new 3.1 is decent. Other brands out there have better dampers such as Manitou and Ohlins. I put the new X2 in my Fox 40...
That's not horrible.. I'm gonna try the ohlins TTX1. It's was on sell for $400. I ride mosty specialized stuff with EXT coils. I'm 6'4 230lbs and air generally sucks.
EDIT: I totally forgot you can get a general leverage ratio by doing (TRAVEL/STROKE) 150/55= 2.7.. that's actually pretty...
I've only heard one person mention the linear linkage curve. Does anyone have the suspension linkage chart? Trying to pick a rear shock. I'm a coil guy so if it's pretty linear then that's a no go
Trying to compile info on this. This looks like a sick build so I wanna pull the trigger on it. I think I got most of it. Few unclear questions.
-BESST TOOL: What features do you get without an account? Can you raise speed limit? Update firmware? (These are my main concerns) If not, does...

Is this the same frameset. Looks identical.. is there a better way to purchase from the US?
Yes.. Full 29.. I'm not sure how you guys are getting over 60 HA with a mullet. I verified my level on my other bike that is stock and it's really close. My tire size difference is about 1/4 inch smaller on the rear.. that gives me a little over .5 if they are the same. I would be happy if I...
I've had this built for a while.. ever since I saw Rob's vid.. I love the longer chainstay on an S4 being 6' 3". The front end is so low on the bike.. that would be my only complaint.. Running 50mm bars with about 2 in of spacers.
I'm running either a Fox 40 @203 or a Zeb @ 170 depending what...
I'm was same boat.. started with a full power.. it's too heavy for single track and bike parks even thought I still road it like a regular bike.. I would mostly ride my Spez Enduro at the DH parks even though I would have to push it up the Fire Roads. Selling both of those and have an S-works...
Put the bolt thru the linkage and spacer on one side.. through the shock.. then try to wedge the other spacer in there.. you have to kinda pry the linkage apart to make space.
I just ordered a 180mm 1up based on the mathes I put in their calculator with my current setup. I went with the 34.9 though.. I don't think the smaller ones can handle the weight on the bike stand. I'm 6'3" with about a 34 inseam. I don't mind if there is an inch or so hanging out.. right now...
I'm currently running a mullet setup on a 2022 S4 S-works.. Steep and high, the BB is sitting at 349.2mm or about 13.75ins (measured from the ground the the middle of the cranks spindle).. not too bad.. Michelin Wild AM2 tires. Based on the geo cal.. this setup would be about 10mm higher with a...
