Ok, here goes! I keep grounding out the pedals over tree roots, and before anyone says I need to learn to ride, yawn, I’ve had mountain bikes for over 30 years, and this has never happened on any other bike I’ve owned, despite riding the same trails.
Are there any simple fixes for this, or do I...
Thanks guys, some good recommendations on here. I wouldn’t go full face, as I wear one on the motorbike, so like the freedom of open face on the mtb.
I bought a Giro Montaro MIPS which arrived yesterday, and still didn’t look right, hence the thread. I’ll have a play with it, but it doesn’t...
What is the smallest peaked mtb helmet that doesn’t look like my head is a fucking mushroom?!
I’ve seen some while out and about that look barely bigger than a baseball cap, and quite stylish, so what do you lot use, as I’m fed up going to the post office and sending helmets back?
I bought this one off Amazon. It does the job, and the phone has never fallen off, even after a big crash, but it does tend to wobble a fair bit.
It‘s ok, but tends to rotate on the bars, so I’ll be watching this thread to see what others recommend.
Not sure where to post this, but after my crash, I needed to get my bike fixed ASAP.
Called a few local bike shops, but no chance of a fix until end of June, but was recommended an independant guy in Bagshot, with 30 years experience, and a business from home fixing bikes. After a quick chat...
Got caught out on Friday. What I thought was level ground, going round a tree, saw a root sticking out at the last minute, and it was too late, down I went. Bent handlebars, bent gear lever, the bike wouldn’t go into the top 5 gears. Luckily, it was on soft ground, so no cosmetic damage, other...
Looking forward to seeing what you think of it. Actually I’m not, as I bought the 140, and wished I went for the 160! Too late now, unless someone wants my 140.
Yeah, same here with mine. I’ve given up getting stressed hearing the amount of stones that keep pinging off the frame, and I managed to scratch the forks yesterday when going through a metal gate, so it’s now properly used, and I’ve given up worrying!
When spending £7k on a bike, it needs to arrive PERFECT.
Reject the bike, fuck them with their don’t care attitude. If you scratch it or chip it yourself, which you will, that’s down to you, but to receive a bike that costs the same as a car, with imperfections, is 100% unacceptable.
There...
