The high setting with 347mm BB heightand 65.5 degree HA is still really aggressive/Downhill-y for a 165mm travel bike. Seems really strange that you'd find that unrideabley high and 'off balance'. There's probably another issue going on.
Wow, lots to unpack here, weird post.
What? That doesn't make any sense, load isn't speed dependent in mountain biking...like at all. People are putting way more sustained load sprinting up long fireroad climbs than your 5 second sprints into jump lines.
First of all "Jumping higher" is a...
Considering that it is rare if not Completely unheard of for trail features to be built requiring the peak power of an ebike to hit, it seems odd that the power of the ebike would be limiting you in any way shape or form.
I guess if you’re trying to approach your ride more as a mini-moto ride...
BS. Adding a coil shock adds maybe 1 pound to the bike, tops (unless these ohlins springs are using some special heavy steel?). Bike+rider is >200lbs. There's no way you're able to notice a change in battery range from a 0.5% change in system weight. The battery capacity probably naturally...
I'm running the stock setup on my Decoy race (or whatever the mid spec level is). e13 cassette, Shimano chain, Shimano shifter/derail. It definitely doesn't shift as smooth as a Shimano cassette, but more than good enough for an e-MTB.
I've got a second e-bike (turbo Vado) with a nearly...
Because an e-bike is putting out 2-3x the power?
Yes it does boil down to proper shifting. That's why they are starting to spec e-bikes with shifters that can only do 1 gear at a time, an attempt to reign in poor shifting. Everyone I know who rides an e-bike and is an experienced rider who...
You shouldn't be shifting gears while under high load and low cadence on an e-bike. No cassette is going to work well in those conditions. You just need to shift better,.
Lots of bad info here. Some of the YT decoy's shipped with bad cassettes. Contact them and they'll warranty it. No big deal.
Then you're doing something wrong. I have 2 e-bikes with 11 speed Shimano. One of them I broke them frame (Turbo Vado) before I went through the cassette or chain...
Anyone know what size the shock reducer/polymer bushings are? Mine have been showing some "premature wear" lets say. The developed play within a ride or two so I think they need to be replaced. I can't find the spec anywhere in the manual or on their website.
