Hey all,
So I just found out today that the shifter leavers allow you to adjust the derailleur In case you are having gear shifting issues.
Now as I am experiencing some shifting issue can anyone advise on any resources that can help with adjusting the gears / derailleur from the shifter...
Wowser! Mine were at 50 monarch and 75 bottom chamber (down form 190) Ohlins and top chamber around 80 down from 110.
Not yet been on any mental hardcore trails just breaking it in slowly on easy trails for now so that's surprising :)
I'll stop this conversation now though as i started a...
What you laughing at ;)
My shocks and forks are flat after a 3 day ride. How long should the air last in the shock roughly is 3 days normal for the Ohlins and monarch shocks or should the air last in the forks and shocks last for a month?
This is my first Ohlins fork and monarch :)
Hey all,
Just noticed my shocks were flat as a pancake after today's ride to the Bike shop and was wondering what the average length of time of a repump should be?
I don't hammer them, this week that have had very little trail use mostly flat riding dirt paths etc...
Both shocks needed a...
I know this next question is off topic, so I'll start a new thread but, While were here ;)
I just washed my bike and checked my shocks / forks and noticed that my Ohlins and my monarch both needed pumped up (after only 3 days of riding) is that normal with these shocks/forks?
Yea I think it depends on why style of rider you are.
I think riders like Rob will love the new update and Also Tori. As they seem to like to Kill themselves in the videos I've seen :)
They like to get a workout and really push.
I'm personally not that type of rider, and as I was not part of...
Sure :)
On my bike I tend to run the following:
Eco 50
Trial 75
Turbo 100
With max power and full acceleration (because I LOVE the POWER) :) I ride around giggling like madman when I'm on my bike, it makes me laugh every time I get on it. It's stupid fun! :)
On the shops bike I tried the...
Hey :)
I've just got back from my LBS and I didn't update!
They have actually upgraded their bikes, so I decided before I pay for an update, I'll test drive theirs ;)
I agree with with what was mentioned above, the power delivery is indeed smoother and the bike feels like a manual bike, but it...
I think I'm going to wait this out too, I don't need the new FW right now, and still have the old the app, i would hate get it all updated then not be able to roll back.
I'll wait and see how the new firmware works in real world scenarios before I update.
I will say that reading stores bike...
Do we need to book into a specialized dealer to get the battery updated, if so, it I'll it wait for them to release the new motor FW and just get them both done at the same time.
I gave you tyre pressures :)
Front Shocks were filled bottom first, and then top chamber filled to what was detailed on the fork for my weight (around 80kg with backpack) around 170psi I think.
Ramp around 190 I think And damper fully turned to the right, but I do like a stiff ride as it gives...
I'll try dropping a few clicks and see, it felt awful when fully open just felt like the steering was disconnected from the bars at high speed on tight trails.
PSI in the shocks or tyres :) I'm tuning around 24psi in the front and 26psi in the rear after testing. I feel this gives me good...
I'll check that tonight, I also noticed today a very interesting thing today.
If the bike is in 1st gear and i push it backwards, It drops to 2nd gear?
@Dom I think I may move to dry lube moving forward as I find it is much less gloopy after a ride wet or dry. Curious to see how the new wax...
I am finding that the blue dial must be fully rotated to the right otherwise the front feels really loose, how where do did you find was the sweet spot for your riding style?
Also am I right in saying the ohlins / expert models don't have QR due to their size, is that the official reason?
I notIce you mention "noisily changing gears" I have to say the gear on the expert even on a flat surface just plodding along, if I change gears from a high hear to a low gear (single shift) the "clunking" of metal on metal is so loud it actually has people turning their heads.
Is there a...
a sticky post with some good chains, oils, preventative measures etc really would benefit this place.
Im using Muck Off Dry and Muck Off Wet chain oil and cleaning it after each use with warm soapy water and compressed air.
Are there any tips for changing, do's and dont's etc that could also...
What chain oils etc do you guys recommend for the ebike?
I was thinking Muck Off Dry (as we get a lot of damp / cold weather) or Muck Off Wet.
Has anyone also made changes to their derailleur, I think mine is fractionally off as my chain is taking a while to change on occasion.
