Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

For reference purposes, the 160mm fox 36 exceeds the specified max a2c height of the rise.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I would just like to make sure that everyone is aware that different forks have different A2C heights, so just saying “160mm is ok” doesn’t include the A2C , make sure to check before deciding on what size fork travel.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Have you tried changing your bars/stem? As I’m 5’6” on a med and have zero issues with my butt (apart from the farts according to the wife)

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

No, personally I don’t like the Fox36 or 38, I have found that the Rockshox air spring/damper to be much more consistent, probably why fox find the need to put a bleed port/equalisation channel in the newer forks.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I was considering a lot of the info when deciding what fork to put on my m20, one of the reasons I stuck with the 150mm Zeb was the extra 10mm a2c vs the 36.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

1- 210x55 2- nope, but it’s not very heavy. 3- no offset bushing as std stroke shock 4- nope as above its full 29er 5- I don’t have any issue with bottoming out etc, I ride everything on it from massive XC loops over Dartmoor (80-90km) to flat out runs at the local DH tracks and the odd bikepark...

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I’m running it upside down to keep the weakest point closes to the frame, had zero issues so far and I’m 6 months in, I did try a dhx Rc4 that I shortened to fit but couldn’t quite get it setup, think I needed lighter weight oil as it felt overly damped.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Whatever you calculate, go up to the next spring rate. I have tried 3 different coil shocks on the rise and I had to go up 50llb on the spring in every case. FWIW 78kg and using a fox sls 500 on a dbinline coil.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I’m 170 and I have tried a few springs before settling on a 500llb fox sls, but spring rates are quite personal, I like the Rise to ride quite firm as it’s still a trail bike. So I would start with a 450 if I were you.

    Shimano EP8rs fail Rate ?

4600km since April 2021, std ep8rs and I do have an occasional glitch where the motor switches off for half a second, E01022 is the error code, but it only happens in the first 5 mins of any ride and then it’s fine???

    Fully rigid hardtail 😂

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

You’ll never get the plushness of the lyrik, the fox is a lot firmer in its characteristics, one reason I’m swapping my 36s on my 5010 back to Rockshox.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Yeah I have a 230x60 for a Rallon 11/6 and when I saw that they now supported the Rise I enquired about getting it reconfigured but they won’t do it with the v1 11/6 :(

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

Is that a 11/6 specifically for the rise?

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I’ve tried quite a few springs and the fox metric sls ones are the only ones that clear my Med frame.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

It’s not about the travel, the Zeb has a greater axle to crown distance than the 36s, therefore you can’t just state that 160 travel shouldn’t be an issue.

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

The rise and I have been some pretty spectacular places, living next to Dartmoor is pretty special and allows me to ride some amazing stuff, however my local bike park is 10mins away riding and I hit it up at every opportunity and still can’t believe how fast the rise is there, I’ve set all my...

Part # 1: Orbea Rise - Upper Linkage Axle and Bearing Service

Thanks Rod, I left it in penetrating oil for an hour and they then came out quite easily. I do have a bearing puller kit, but they don’t grab very well on the smaller bearings (sub 20mm (13/16th)) I may have to invest in something better.

Is the orbea Rise suspension progressive?

I would just be careful running a zeb at 160, the a2c is already above the maximum specified for the rise even in the shortest 150mm travel option.

4300km in and those bearings are proving a touch difficult to remove 🤦‍♂️
