Oops, didn't intend to catch you up in the joke, Kiwi.
That was just part of my wiseguy reply to @RebornRider's question about what's included with a new Levo Expert. @R120 got the satire.
A small, lightweight battery might be nice but you'll have to go aftermarket.
My shop included a 500Wh battery along with the 700Wh battery.
Also got them to include the new lightweight 252Wh battery for no charge.
Had to pay for a water bottle though, so I may switch to another LBS.
Welcome, "cheater"! Sweet looking new Levo. You live in a great place for riding. Should be beautiful up around Lake Tahoe once all the snow thaws (assuming we're not entering a new ice age).
We come up from SoCal to the Donner/Tahoe area every June and love the trails there. The pics below...
Mrs levity and I run mixed 29F/27.5R wheels on our Levos. We wanted 3.0 rear tires for extra cushion and traction and because we ride is sandy conditions in the desert in winter and a 29x3 won’t fit in back.
Here’s a pic of my ‘19 with a 29x3 Bontrager XR4 in front and a 27.5x3 Purgatory in...
The answer depends on which model levels you are comparing. Components and even battery capacity (460 or 504Wh) can differ. Two significant changes are that the '18 came with a remote power selection switch on the handlebar and was available with a carbon front triangle frame.
Check tightness of the SWAT CC steerer tube tool that comes on the 2019 carbon Levos. Some have needed to be snugged up a bit. There's a 5mm hex bolt that is accessed from below the fork crown.
Wanted to give a “shout out” to @Al Boneta at Orange Cycle here in Southern California. I purchased a 2018 Levo there December ’17 and bought a 2019 Levo in January this year to accommodate the new 700Wh battery. Both bikes have performed without a hiccup likely due at least in part to Al’s...
The first number is the eye-to-eye length of the shock. Shorter or longer will lower or raise the rear of the bike. The second number is the shaft stroke, i.e., how much it travels. A 52.5mm stroke with an apx. 2.8:1 linkage leverage ratio would give ~150mm travel. In some shocks you can add a...
