I once rode a 750w hub drive , it had so much power ,had to brake on up hills also , quite unpleasant ride , so power delivery is the key ,not the amount , i guess .
Its all exercise , i accidentally went into a XC race on 750watt hub drive [basically a Chinese cargo bike with suspension] had a throttle, basically you turn the throttle full on and pedal like hell[no different to removing the throttle and pedaling just the same , obviously i beat everyone but...
Me , personally[ on any EMTB bike ] would leave the 2.6 on the front and put a 2.4 or 2.3 on the back, and simply pump up the pressure to 40psi+ for the road and 22 psi+/- for dirt [works for me really well].
I dropped my chain last sunday in a race , the chain got dragged up and over the top of the chainring[from 6ocloct to one o clock] ,few weeks earlier it did something similar a wrecked everything, it is a hardtail so it needs a guide. Chains do some unexplainable things.
Not Whyte but all my bikes developed rattles , one was loose controller , two were loose battery, fixed/glued with some thin rubber mating that is used to put under microwaves etc to stop them sliding on benches etc
I think if you have a quality derailluer that doesn't bounce around like a 100 meter runners pepee , has good tension that actually works , you don't need a guide .
Depends on the bike, i have one that will drop its chain jumping up or off a street gutter , its problem is the tension or lack of it in the derailuer , other bikes may drop the chain for other reasons [alignment issues etc].
I was just looking at the "bike exchange" site , and there are over 50 emtb brands, they then have their models , and over 20 different motor manufacturers , that has to be unsustainable ?
In Australia" Valk Cyclone" has that motor, very good bike for the money, they also have a dual suspension model. I have the Valk MX7 model , some people are getting 20000mls with no problems, mine just keeps going , out last a $10000 top end bike .
Haven't lived there for many years , as far as i remember there is a major tax hit , payable in advance when starting a business , don't know how that money is used or what happens with it.
Erkki saatana:) , pretty sure everything can be fixed ,parts retro fitted , fabricated , frame tig welded etc etc , i think you can soon get exchange motors from the repairer in UK . I have a bike that has zero backup, zero parts availability , iv broken everything , and everything fixed from...
Either way, the bikes will be fixable, unless the frame is damaged, but that the case with all carbon bikes also .Will be a desirable bike to own now .
