Yes, but it’s firmware changes only allowing higher current to achieve the 750w, physically they’re the same motor. Noise is the same as well, what changed was essentially a redesign or a v2 of the motor that was more of a running change around May of this year that cut the noise down a pretty...

Description Seeing if anyone is interested in the battery for my LCE971 build that might not be happening anymore. This is a brand new, 0 cycle battery for the...
If you’re only just ordering now you might be fine. Assuming this latest redesign fixes the issues your 40 day estimate might be pretty close, although I suspect you may still go a little beyond that. I imagine they must have quite the long backlog by now of orders from the same timeframe as...
Still waiting for a frame… LightCarbon seems to be having endless issues with the rear triangle on this frame. After 3 redesigns and delays their latest attempt has failed within the first week for at least one customer that received it. I’ve now been told it’ll be at least another month for the...
I just use AirPods Pro, but specifically put them into the “transparency” mode whenever I ride so I can hear stuff around me. I never feel quite safe with noise canceling on even though I’m never really on the road much.
When Rob's new video comes out you'll get a chance to see a good review of it, they used a 170mm Fox 38 in their build. Hopefully the new video comes out soon, should be a lot of good insight into how it handles there.
I had seen these bikes online and never even realized until very recently that they were actually a very local company to me, right in my home state. If they had offered a 971 frame bike I probably would have bought from them. I like the idea of smaller shops being able to sell their own bikes...
It's actually surprising that you can build yourself, paying full retail pricing for components, for anywhere near what they're selling full bikes for, forget saving any money. With the buying power these big manufacturers have to buy forks, shocks, drivetrain components, etc for, likely 30%+...
When comparing a liquidation sale, yeah, it's probably not going to work out ahead, I agree with you there. That bike is $3500 off of original price supposedly, that would have been what you would have saved essentially by doing it yourself probably. They're now likely just selling it at cost or...
The DT Swiss 350 seems to be well known for being strong and reliable, even in e-bikes. They actually make a specific e-bike version now, but I’ve heard of plenty of people using the standard one that’s been around forever even with high power 1000w builds with no issues.
The i9 Hydra is...
Others said it already, but that bike you linked is nowhere near the level of components of the build they did. Float vs factory suspension, wireless t-type transmission vs regular mid-grade derailleur, it's not at all the same class of bike. The one they built would easily be $9-11k from any...
My i9 Enduros were a major PITA to mount my Schwalbes on. I’ve heard Schwalbe tires are more difficult than others, so it may mostly be the tire that’s to blame, but it took me 3 tire levers at the same time and tons of soapy water to stand a chance at getting them to pop over the edge. These...
I’m with dado - for the price of a new motor I’d just keep a spare on hand. If they require you to ship it back between shipping costs and time without a bike I’d rather spend ~$500 and buy a whole new motor.
Could maybe then try deal with getting it repaired/fixed and sell the replacement one...
50Nm is squarely out of 1/4” territory and below, or at the very bottom of, most 1/2” wrenches. You ideally want a 3/8” torque wrench for that range.
Here’s what I use, they have a pretty good reputation for the price point and offer all 3 common sizes. Also show both lb-ft and Nm on the...
