So, it means that with the standard setting, the battery management holds 9% back for the light? Wow, if that is the case, this would indeed mean a range improvement if it can be switched off!

I can only say that in comparison to other brands I looked at, YT seems always to be on the small side. Where I would buy an L for other brands, I have an XL for the Decoy. Also, a friend of mine rides a Decoy size L, he is 180cm tall and could easily ride on the XL. I guess it really depends...

I thought it might have something to do with the flex and proximity between magnet and sensor which obviously changes when...

Hi, Clear case of broken speed sensor. I had the same, next thing that will happen is probably a W011 error. You need to replace the sensor and you need to drop the motor to do so. You will find more information on how to do it in this thread...

Are you using the small Shimano tool with which you can hold the small connector to plug in/out? I think the part number is Shimano TL-EW02.
