The string is as long as the string is.
My apologies. A f..ing stupid question that I hate answering as I like to use my legs where others don't. But I like the idea.
I would certainly pay the extra for it for my wife's bike. She doesn't ride as much as me, and I tend to drag her out on trails that challenge her abilities. Also, after a front brake incident on gravel where she broke her shoulder joint, she has a mental issue with steep gravel surfaces. So, I...
I have to admit, I agree with a lot of what he has to say. Sometimes I wish I had the ability to be so direct.
It was certainly entertaining watching him wind people up!
I agree that a key is unnecessary. The list of things I need to take on a bike ride is longer with the Emtb as they include the Kiox display and the Key. Both of which can ruin a weekend. I did a ride with a friend a while ago where we took 2 batteries. He forgot his key!
I remove the battery...
I have a solution!!
The other I knocked my Derailleur off at the top of a mountain pass. So, I removed it and the chain and put that in a plastic bag in my backpack. I had to continue down trails and roads for another 15 KM and my bike has never been so quiet!
Thanks for the compliment. I probably spent about 20 hours from start till finished video. Always takes longer than expected.
The first 1 1/2 days were planned myself, then I used some variations of the Albrecht route.
You can get details here.

Here is a video I did from my 7 day Transalp from Munich to Lake Garda in Italy.
640 km, Total 16000 m Ascent.
It is 24 minutes long and in 4K so watch when you have time.
I have the problem that often if I stop and turn off the bike, or just stop for so long, that the bike turns off automatically, When I continue my ride, the bike does not re-connect to the phone.
Often, I have had to re-start my phone before I could get the connection back.
Afte trying...
I don't have an analog bike with a similar setup, however I am 100% convinced that people just get used to the assist, and when they turn it off, it feels like riding through treacle.
I have a city bike for commuting, and honestly, if I ride the emtb without assist it isn't really that...
It is amazing how often this topic comes up!
I start all my rides initially with the motor off, and get used to the bike without assist, then turn the motor on when I need it.
It helps to not get spoilt.
I guess it depends on what / where you ride. I do a lot of touring / adventure riding where...
Always bed in your brakes!
My technique is, go in turbo and accelerate to 25kph then brake hard down to walking speed 15 or 20 times. It gets a good sweat up, and raises the eyebrows of anyone watching you. But it works extremely well.
Probably easier is to bike up a hill, then do it coming down...
To summarize what is said in the thread.
In order to use lights on the Bosch motor, you need to get the ports activated by your dealer.
When you activate the ports, you can set the power of the lights from 3W to ...?
The motor then automatically adjusts the cut off point for the battery to...
I also didn't know that about the yellow spacers that they can be used to align!
Also, straightening a warped disk is not too difficult, just takes patience. I have the Park tool disk alignment thingy and it definitely helps.
