I don't know what to say...

I agree, completely. I believe, like all industries, marketing hype drives consumer choice. Just look at the debate between 26, 27.5 and 29 size wheels. I remember when I started MTBing, 30 years ago, the full-suspension bike was seen as just marketing hype. I think like all innovations, some...

A summary of why mtbs are (still) so much nicer to ride than Emtbs

Yeah, trolling. With a title like that and your responses, your clearly looking for someone to take the bait. Your opinion is just that, yours.

    Short stem or long stem?

Apologies for that. I'm riding 55.

    Short stem or long stem?

This sounds like the problem to me - I can't understand how a 2cm difference would have you knocking your knees on the bars.

Agreed....who really cares. Ride whatever bike you want that makes you smile. It seems like a small case of trolling to me........;)

Just about to purchase a Turbo Levo...

In my opinion, the spec level on the 2020 Levo comp is fair. I don't believe the extra cost on higher-end spec is necessary on an e-bike, as the gains are so marginal weight-wise, and you now have a motor. On a normal mtb weight is everything so it makes a big difference. This is from someone...

How the heck did you decide what to buy?

The bike is amazing! I'm coming off an Ibis Ripley that was a beast climbing and fairly comfortable on the technical stuff, but the Levo has certainly improved my technical capability and improved the fun factor. Enjoy the ride, you'll be doing lots of it!

How the heck did you decide what to buy?

Let's be honest, most higher-end MTB's and EMTB's are fairly similar, there might be a spec difference, wheel difference, slight geometry change, shock length, battery size, and motor difference, but at the end of the day only 2 things really matter: 1. how does it feel and make me feel when I...

Critter encounters - beautiful, funny or fearsome

Thats my mate Malcolm. He was attacked in Somerset West, Cape Town. The guys were eventually caught and prosecuted and he got the bike back. Has not been on a bike since and is immigrating to the UK in January.

    Base Or Comp Levo

I personally wouldn't go base. The 700wh battery makes a massive difference to your range and seriously reduces you anxiety when riding. Ill give you an example - My mate and i went for a ride yesterday, he is on the 2019 comp with 500wh battery. This was a 55km/1300m ride - he got home with 12%...
