The gen4 motor already have two connectors for the lights, and the battery extension also exists with the special cable to connect two batteries to the motor... nothing new here.

Hi! I'm also from Switzerland, Wallis ;) Pay attention to the battery capacity if you buy a new bike because with more Nm you will probably drain faster the battery! With my Cube Stereo Hybrid Bosch gen4 and 625Wh battery I do easily 1800m ascent.

No, please don't mix the Ah capacity and the weight! The weight of a battery is not proportional to the Ah, but is proportional to the Ah * V (= Wh) !!!

That's a good and correct analysis. 48V / 750Wh looks not possible with current 21700 or 18650 cell capacity. On my opinion there will be no new motor for 2022, the gen4 is "only" 2 years old and still very competitive. I think they will only come with a new 720Wh / 36V battery with the same...

On downhills with technical parts I often switch off the assistance to avoid getting an unwanted push in case of a pedal strike (bosch gen4 motor react extremely quickly to suddent torque inputs!).

Works fine on my ebike with the Kiox :) On the Bosch eBike connect website you can link your strava account, then export your rides with cadence and power to strava. The only annoying thing is there is no automatical export of the ride: after each ride you need to go to the eBike connect...
