I’ve had my Giant Reign E+ for a few weeks now, and although I like the XT brakes I feel like they could do with more engagement, I’ve been looking at either Magura MDR-P or Shimano Ice Tech rotors.

Question is will going from 203 to 220 make a difference and also what rotors do you guys & gals run?
My fist step would be to go on asphalt and really heat them, new brakes usually underperform.
Check youtube. If need be Magura is high on my list.

I’ve just bent the rear rotor on my Merida e160 and replaced it with a Swissstop rotor. It’s great but the problem was what to do about the magnet. For now I’ve just epoxyed a magnet to the rotor but planning a more robust solution with a thin sheet of titanium.
I use JB Weld and fiberglass cloth to fasten a magnet to a regular rotor. I have done this about four times on different rotors. I works great.

Code RSC On my Decoy Sram 220F/200R, I could use more power. Instantly noticed the 220 on the front it should be mandatory. Thinking of upgrading to Formula Cura 4's with a thicker disc and 220F/220R. I have always had the best experience with Formula brakes.

Currently running stock sram G2 r brakes 200m rotors ,but hate the bite point been to close in and not best at stoping.Could someone help with advice to fix this? Was thinking replace with galfer discs & purple pads? Would this make a difference ?

Trek Rail with Swissstop Catalyst Pro 220mm rotors front and rear. Coupled with Shimano M6100/M6120 levers and calipers they are super quiet single finger stoppers with loads of feel. Have Shimano organic pads (D03S) but will soon try Swissstop Disc 27 RS pads.

Somehow not very well known, but I am very satisfied with my Braking S3 BATFLY (Non-Round / Semi-Floating) with Magura MT7pro. 220 in front and 200 rear.
