Has anyone tried to mullet the Voima ?
I'd really enjoy to read some comparison between full 29 and mullet, about the Voima (especially because, for money saving, i'd like to be able to keep my edeemax wheels -27,5 R / 29 F- BUT without altering geometry or riding caracterics of the Voima)

I'm looking for a bike to replace my 2019 Vitus E-Sommet, and the Pole Voima is an option. However, I don't like two 29 wheels and I would like to mullet it. Does it work well with a 27,5x2,4 rear wheel? What about reduced BB height and pedal strikes?

You can run it mullet, (several people have) or you could even run it full 27.5 if you want, (I did). But mine was 27.5 x 2.8. The BB is high to start with so it’s not to low with a mullet And most people run 165 or smaller cranks anyway so pedal strikes aren’t really an issue.

I created a drawing to see what would happen if I mulleted the Voima.

For anyone who is interested.

Reach decreases 5mm
Head angle slackens out 0.4°
BB drops 6.6m

What size tyres did you base this on? I recall when doing the calculations for mulletting my bike, a 29" wheel was about 20mm taller from ground to axle v the 27.5", not the 10mm you have.

Has anyone successfully mulleted the Voima? I'm worried about the rim magnet on a 27,5" wheel because it wouldn't be in the same place, so there is a possibility that the swingarm sensor doesn't detect it

Swingarm sensor uses rotor magnet. Rotor position doesn’t change between wheel sizes.
By default voima uses motor sensor. So a revolution detected when rim magnet passes the motor.

Rotor/swingarm magnet/sensor is a new option.

Also you can re-configure wheel circumference in settings for 27.5 wheel.

To switch between swingarm or motor sensor you’ll likely need to take bike to bosch service so they re-program the motor, it’s not user configurable otherwise.

It will be fine. I ran full 27.5 on mine. But if you want the full speed allowed, and you have the rim magnet, you need to take it to a Bosch dealer to have them reprogram it for the smaller wheel size.

What is the process to do this in the USA? Do they generate unique software patch or do you ship the motor out to them or do you have to show them the bike?

I mulleted my Voima last month. Just popped a new rim magnet on a spare 27.5" Hope Fortus wheel I have, and changed the circumference in the Bosch app. Works fine and feels better than full 29" IMO.

Cut-off speed according to my GPS has been between 24.5 Km/h - 26 Km/h
