Thanks for the tip. Im tempted to cancel and wait for a 2019 Levo but the spec on the 7.0 I've ordered is so good. Cannot believe how much you've both been messed around when your spending a fair bit of cash. My dispatch date of the 24th could mean delivery anytime in October really. (n)(n)(n)

i’d persevere for a little bit mate they have had logistical probs getting the frames back (which affected my dates) but that’s supposed to be worked out now and it looks like clanseys had a numpty pack his bike up and forgot to include the relevant paperwork pertaining to shipping of the battery (which has screwed his delivery up).
I’m presuming your delivery ‘window’ is 24th-28th ? if so be prepared for a 28th shipping which will put you into october.
Same as i said keep hassling the uk lads on chat and make sure they look at the schedules in germany to see where your bike is in production rather than just repeat what is sent on your email.

It's not like Canyon are a one man band, they really should be on top of this by now. It also sounds like bollocks to me; I used to be an IATA certified DG shipper, specialising in Lithium batteries, and none of the carriers we used wouldn't even put the shipment in the van if we didn't have the right paperwork ready with the collection.

Thanks mate. I'll get onto the live chat tomorrow. Yeah it's the 24th-28th and in my head I thought I would get the bike that week but clearly not. Sure it'll be worth it in the end. There must also be a lot of times it goes smoothly or surely they'd be going out of business.

Really hope you guys get good news this week. ?

I also thought the same thing, which is why I have formally complained and asked them to provide this information on their website before we make a purchase.

The problem is with the ebikes, their normal bikes are normally around 2 days for full delivery.

Canyon had massive problems when they implemented a new ERP system in 2016. Perhaps they've done an SAP update ;) Also, the production routings are going to be different for Ebikes. Perhaps something is borked there. Or maybe they have supply chain issues. Not much you can do really, though I'd be looking at the 2016 reports to see how long some of this took to get sorted.

Yay brilliant news. How many weeks late will that be? Just to prepare myself. Let us know if you think it was worth it. And if you’d do it again.

well touch wood the delivery has been rapid so can’t grumble at that, ive probably had a three week delay in total due to the frame supply issues (if indeed that was the problem)

Yeah it depends on your local area. I heard others say parcel force sometimes do the last leg

I really love the 29er on front and 27.5 on rear! Makes it quite safe and still pretty playful at the same time.
Replaced the standart pedals with some matching HT Components PA03A flat pedals :)

I liked Canyon's idea of the 29er up front so much that I put one up front on my Merida eOne-Sixty 900e. I also ordered Canyon eBike seat and like it a lot also, very confortable.

Went for Merida with transformations because Canyon still doesn't sell in Portugal... if it did it would definitely be an option to consider. Love my Merida though so I'm very happy with the end-result.

UPDATE: So I managed to get though to DHL freight after trying 4 different DHL numbers, they have confirmed that the bike is still in Koblenz in Germany waiting for the IMO Dangerous Goods paperwork that canyon said they had sent last week.

They have provided an email address which I can send a copy of the dangerous goods form to provided I can get it from Canyon, spoke to canyon service desk who are now trying to contact Canyon Germany to see if its possible to get a copy of the form.

Beyond frustrated now, tempted to cancel but feels stupid since I'm at the very last hurdle. Never will I order from Canyon again. The customer service is very polite but utterly useless. They simply don't have any information and just provide sweeping statements like don't worry I'm sure your bike will be with you soon.

i know the feeling mate, nearly there tho. Tell them you want some money off for being messed about or some free accessories ?? the least they could do would be to throw in a bottle cage and bottle or a tshirt or something to say sorry..

I will be asking for my postage and packaging money back once the bike is actually in UK. The fact that it has taken me to notice there is an issue with the shipping twice is awful. Both times Canyon haven't given me any information without me repeatedly asking. The first response is always everything is okay, your bike is on the way to you. When in reality it isn't

The lady at DHL freight was really nice and said we can cut out the middle men if I can just get a copy of the dangerous goods form that wasn't included by canyon in the shipping documents. So that is my biggest hope.

If I can get the form then Canyon can't screw up or delay things any further

Im not 100% sure they do this, its what I've heard. Can anyone confirm?

nope they only take the money when the bike ships, they may put a reservation against the card you use pending shipment but no money leaves your account until then as i kept asking on the live chat how come no money has been taken even though my bike was in the build stage and this is what they told me

They took mine straight away. Maybe because the bike was in stock? And I paid by invoice

My patience has ran out on your behalf. The bike might be well priced and even if it's the best to ever leave the factory seems the excitement of a new bike is lost ...And for me who had considered this bike I've decided against it totally.
Not just for the wait and poor service but God forbid anything went wrong!
I imagine a customer care warranty phone sitting on a table in an empty room ringing and ringing even the thought of it frustrates.
I really hope this isn't the case and it's sorted swiftly.

Absolutely shocking stuff. You’d think they pull out all the stops as soon as they acknowledged their mistake. Any chance of getting the paperwork yourself? One email and you could have it on its way tomorrow.

All making me really question whether to stick with my order. I went on live chat today. They say my bike is in stock so won’t be delayed. No doubt you heard that line as well as some point. New 2019 Levo Comp won’t be much more. Far lower spec though.

When I ordered my bike I convinced a friend who was on the edge about getting one to commit. We went to a bike shop and he walked out with a cube 160 hpa action team for slightly more than my Canyon 8.0. There have been a few times I wish I would of just got one.

His is brilliant. Would recommend it to anyone. Really blinged out with the fox factory suspension

Any news this week mate?

I have been chasing both Canyon and DHL everyday and the girl from DHL is really good she has put an official complaint in with the Koblenz warehouse as Canyon are adamant that they have sent the paperwork through. She reached out to both sides and personally got the right people speaking to each other.

Today she said that she has been told that the bike should ship tonight and to keep an eye on the tracking.

Nothing as of yet but keep your fingers crossed for me. Only 3 weeks after my bike supposedly shipped. :sneaky:
