Any idea what time your bike left Koblenz??
shipped on a friday at 20:40 local time and was scanned into the uk at greenford on sunday 09:30
Cheers, she also said it will be shipped directly so it may be quicker. Not sure what that means.
i would take that to mean dhl will do the last leg rather than a 3rd party courier - probably save a couple of days there
Yeah I was thinking the same. Or maybe just a straight delivery from Koblenz to the UK.
I wonder if you can collect from Europa once it's in the UK. Just incase they have a delay like yours. I do a lot of miles in work and have an estate car anyway so I would do that if possible

so here it is. my in depth review...... the cardboard box is very substantial, sorry guys can’t help you with anything else i had to nip out of work to take the delivery.
Hopefully tinker with it this evening and get a couple of hours ride out saturday morning.
On a side note, courier was a total unhelpful miserable nob, dropped it at the front door on a pallet, took my signature and fecked off, wouldn’t help me in the house with it or even take it off the pallet it came on and take that back, so i’ve a pallet to dispose of as well when i get home !!
Hopefully tinker with it this evening and get a couple of hours ride out saturday morning.

So mine still hasn't left the warehouse in Germany. I have been in contact with Canyon again today telling them I want a refund on my postage and packaging.
And asking them to chase DHL from their side as to why the bike hasn't moved.
I was told to expect an email later. Last time they said that I didn't get any response for a few days
All around just seems like they need to work on a lot of things. I would personally feedback that information about the delivery driver being unhelpful and leaving the pallet so that we can try and help people in the future.
Its HERE finally....i wouldn't take much from the negative attitude of the driver there not insured to help out lifting and moving stuff into your home he probably has a 100 deliveries to make. Being an ex hgv driver myself you just want to get your truck empty and head home.
Plus he's probably not excited as you to see the bike ..so I would take it with a pinch of salt

so i decided to put it together as soon as i got home, just unboxing it is a mission - like something off the krypton factor.
I thought my orange welded together from old filing cabinets was a brute but it’s got nothing on this tank, just need to set the air r pressure in the shocks and charge the battery and i’m away unfortunately it looks like saturday morning before i’ll get the time.
First thing i did was rip off the plastic cassette protector disc (i know they may save you a new cassette if the chain jumps the cog but i detest them.
On the whole i think it looks great, seems well put together and can’t wait to throw a leg over it.

Fantastic. Looks really good. Liking the colour matched components. What crank boots you got there mate? Friend said he can’t fit raceface ones on the Shimano cranks. Too tight. Got a set of Hope F20 to go on mine as well.

beggars belief mate, why can’t canyon print off some more paperwork and send it over, regardless whether they think dhl have the paperwork or not just get another set faxed over and get things moving.

I expect you’ve tried threatening to cancel the order? You’d think demanding a refund would get them moving.
It's completely unacceptable, I'm at a loss for words. I got through to someone at Canyon and they said they will escalate it to order management in Germany again. I said its completely unacceptable that nobody is keeping me informed or actively managing the case given the complete fuck up in the first place.
I said I'm £4547.98 out of pocket with no idea when my bike will arrive and his response beggars belief...... "I'm sure you'll get it at some point"
This whole thing has got me completely stressed out, just when I thought we were passed the blockage it comes back again.
Yes I have, I am on the verge of actually getting a refund.
It just feels bad that this is the bike I want and the reason for the refund is completely ridiculous, just because a bit of paperwork is missing.
I checked trust pilot and Canyon have a 2 star rating. Lots of people have requested refunds. It almost feels like that's what they want, they can get that bike back and no doubt sell it to another waiting customer who is non the wiser to the shipping issues and hope it goes through smoothly
Don't Canyon have a uk office is Chessington, Surrey? If its near you i would be going there to have it out.

that's who I've been speaking to. They are utterly useless. Everything is done in Germany and the guys here just email them. Going down there wouldn't change a thing.
I'd be better served driving to Germany and picking the bike up myself

I bet you are. I still think I’d wait because the spec on the 8.0 is amazing. They won’t let you speak to manager in Germany or anything? Think I’d go down that office in Chessington and refuse to leave until I had a phone call with someone guaranteeing a date. Say you’ll be reporting them for taking money weeks ago and not delivering goods. Is that theft? ?
I read that and my first thought was "Fuck it, I'll have a refund instead."
not sure it's theft but I can certainly try mentioning trading standards and see if that gets anything moving. I have found a phone number for Germany so I will ringing first thing in the morning to see if I can get through to someone.
I just struggle to see how they can mess this up. The DHL warehouse is in the same small town in Germany. Yet they cannot communicate with each other. Any other company would call or email DHL ask what they need. Reply with the correct documents and then make sure the bike was sent out. It's not rocket science

i just did a few laps round the block on mine to make sure i had tightened everything up and there were no creaks and groans both without the battery and with the battery and i’m buzzing my tits off, it’s like having a turbo charger strapped to the bike !!

Well Canyon Germany were also unhelpful and rude. No matter what I said they just replied speak to UK we are not responsible.
Claire at DHL freight order management has put in a formal complaint with the Koblenz warehouse and escalated it further whatever that means. I have also hopefully connected Canyon to Claire (depends if canyon Germany email her, UK guys have passed her contact details over to German order management team)via email so they can resolve this between each other.
