Trousers that fit knee pads or at least aren't like leggings

There’s nothing in the mtb world that will fit you. Either the leg is too short or waist too big.

I'm the same size and finding long mtb trousers has been my never ending quest. Currently I'm using some hiking pants, for someone reason they seem to make them with longer legs.
Endura Spray in XL will fit you. Legs are plenty long enough for 33/34 inseam and there is tons of adjustment on the waist. you will probably have the velcros pulled nearly to the max for 34 waist depending on the type of padded shorts/armour you wear underneath.

I'm still lost ..

We work in CM's .. but 34" waist ? I've seen the video's.

Do you measure like hip to hip across the front ? Or work on the Levi's sitting in the bottom of the wardrobe from 30 years ago ?

nah, im genuinely a 34" waist (thats waist not hips, they are bigger of course) come down from at least a tight 36 in the last couple of months.. done it before so historically I know I wont lose any more waist size now.. the gut is slowly going and (ill try this in kg) I was 105 ish kg and now im at 92 and still losing..

it was clear that if I didnt sort myself out I wouldnt be able to ride if I was working or if I wanted to ride, I would have to be taking time off to do it.

That's impressive !!

I've not seen any ratchet straps with measure markings on before - which brand do you recommend ?

The waist measurement for trousers can be misleading since they refer to the smallest section of your torso between the pelvic bones and the rib cage..............and very few other than Simon Cowell wear their pants that high!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:.
On the other hand I suspect they also take account of the fact that many will be wearing some form of armoured/padded shorts underneath.
Then to further make it impossible to determine exactly what size they are, lot depends on the country of origin of the manufacturer...and whether they are actually rip offs made in China. US manufacturers tend to flatter their indiginous population by branding a realistic size XXL as Large..........and if they are Chinese rip offs 4XL will just about be right for a normal size small.

90+ Kgs with 34 waist? I reckon your tape measure has stretched!! ......and most wear the waistband of trousers resting just above their pelvis not on the waist

Thanks for the tip. Last time I tried Endura trousers they were hopelessly short or had humongous waist. But that was a few years ago..

If you still cannot find anything to fit get some MX pants. Less than half the price and twice as tough.........only drawback is they tend to be a bit short in the leg because they are designed to go into MX boots.
Yep, this. The weather here doesn’t often call for trousers but I’ve worn my Leatt MX trousers on the MTB and they work well. Mine come down as far as the MTB ones in the OP’s pic so are not too short. They fit knee braces so knee pads are not an issue.

They still look too tight for my liking. I prefer something a bit looser fitting.
I hate the recent fashion of skinny jeans and how lots of MTB pants are so tight fitting.. they seem to be getting closer to the lycra the roadies wear lol

Loads of room in these.........Endura Spray. I have 34 inside leg, 34 waist (36 waist with armoured shorts) and these are size XL. Leatt knee pads fit underneath fine. Legs narrow only below the calfs but have zips to allow a slightly bigger opening for getting your feet through. The bottoms of the legs are not wide enough however, even with the zips open, to be able to roll the legs up and put knee pads on that way. No big deal...just put the knee pads on first. Leg length is generous.

Hmmm I’m notsure if your actually looking for 100% waterproof or not. If you want bulletproof pants with all kinds of room that included leg zippers that open right up to the knees and have a leg length you can custom cut to fit. The pants are designed as an overpant to wear over your shorts or whatever you want to wear underneath These are the absolute bomb !! A bit pricey for sure but it doesn’t get any better. Did I mention they really are 100% waterproof 👍
