Trek rail battery lock

Hi, can anyone please tell me if I could have been supplied with a rubber grommet for the key hole in the frame for the battery lock?

Trek doesn't ship with or sell any sort of grommet like you're describing.

It's crazy they're selling bikes at the price they are which get covered in **** and they can't even supply a grommet to cover a keyhole.

when i got my bike the fkn lock ring was made of plastic

Yea, but of the 782 different ones lol. Which is the correct fitment? I ordered these and they did not fit my Rail 9.7. They were too large.

Thanks, still searching but I have yet to find one that small without buying a bulk package (even then the smallest is 14mm) with multiple dimensions. Lowes/Home Depot don’t seem to carry the appropriate closed rubber grommets, only open.

got mine off ebay with a drop down menu quanty 2,4,6, 8 meybe its a UK thing

What about the rubber plugs on the downtube. They keep water out of the battery compartment. They easily pop out when cleaning the downtube. I lost one and cut a piece of rubber down to fit. Works OK, but would be interested in buying proper rubber plugs.
