Co-op meal deal ..sarnie / mini pork pies (2pk) / crisps / orange lucozade sport + 4pk of Toffee Crisp ..which I usually end up sharing ( and I usually have to sacrifice a mini pork pie to Ant if he's riding with us in case he has a hissy fit ..and as you know I'm all for peace & harmony ..😇 )

I take some Hobnobs Oaty Flapjacks they have chocolate coating on the top. They are made by McVities and they cost about £1.25 for five, occasionally on offer for £1. I suspect that they are made from broken Hobnob biscuits, ie factory waste. Then a bit of glucose syrup added and formed into bars, then chocolate coated.

The chocolate and the syrup provide a quick energy hit, but the flapjack portion gives a slower release. When I'm with my riding buddy I take extra as he always looks so mournful if I don't let him have one.

My grandson is type 1 diabetic and they are perfect for him. He doesn't need to bring anything else for the ride.

Y'all are on eebs, WTF do you need snacks for?

I fuel up on a Maccie's breakfast and trough a couple of Greggs Yum Yum on the drive home. :ROFLMAO:
I have to take something with a high sugar level,if my sugar drops, iam in big trouble as i need to get something down my neck pretty quickly,i had to get an e bike or give up riding, couldnt ride an analogue now,it would literally kill me!
so some of us old gits need sustenance wether we like it or not 😂

Well yesterday I had a tin of Sardines, ardene pate sandwich and a marathon bar . Had my stove for a hot cuppa. What I didn't pack and only found out back at car was a spare tube, that could have been a real disaster.

Snakes or party mix for me. Not much difference between that and gels. Clif bars also make a nice snack. Vegemite and butter sandwiches for the salt
